This is the 7th song posted from the album I have been working on using demo tracks given to me by Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the pandemic! I can't believe how fast time has passed and how long we have been working on this project. 4 songs from the album are based on a graphic novel that Wou-Wou had started before the pandemic began. The rest of the songs are reflections of the weird times we were living in.

Big thanks to Wou Wou, Bit-zone, and Stricknice for still being here after all these years. I have known and worked with people on SoundCloud probably longer than I have known high school friends, college friends, and friends from various jobs. Huge thanks to Guitar Wizards of the Future. I remember when I first began participating in the SoundCloud community, I would always eagerly anticipate a new GWOTF track, especially because I grew up in Oakland California. Many had hoped that Corona would be a wake-up call for humanity. That people finally have a sense of the gift they've been given. The gift of living in a wonderful world. Many hoped that now people would live in solidarity, live respectfully and peacefully with one another. But already during the Corona crisis one noticed that the opposite was happening. People became more and more selfish. The hatred for everything and everyone increased and it is getting worse and worse. No respect, no solidarity. Now we have war again in Europe and also still in so many other countries in the world where people who actually only want to live peacefully have to die. And what the climate crisis still means for us, which we cannot prevent out of selfishness, we all see every day. Forest fires, dried up lakes and rivers, floods, storms, poor harvests, famine, lack of drinking water...
I know that Cecila also had high hopes for a better world at the time and composed this song. It's a glimmer of hope for all positive thinking people. A hope for a better, peaceful world where people enjoy their gift of life and live in harmony with each other. Without borders, without exclusions. In solidarity. It could be so beautiful.
