RED HOT KEYS (with Marco Turrini Band)

This work is also a collaboration with Marco Turrini following the previous work. We tried what happens if I play "MEMORIES OF THE PAST" which is one of Marco's masterpieces together with him.How I would add my interpretation to this work while making full use of Pink Floyd's flavor and Marco's honed sensibilities, that was my problem.A big fan of Pink Floyd can not defile the honor of Pink Floyd.  :)
I sincerely thank Marco Turrini again. Also, I would like to confess that I'd like to express my respects to the many musicians who gave me a lot of musical influences, involved in this work.
And thank you for listening to this work from the bottom of my heart.

When I listened to the sound source of Marco's "MEMORIES OF THE PAST ... TRIBUTE", the first thing I came up with was  "Breathe" by Pink Floyd. It is one song in the album "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON". Then, on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (included in  "Wish You Were Here ")A famous performance came back in my mind. This may be better known.
Both are masterpieces. There are a lot of name performances left. I will introduce it below.
By listening to that songs again, why I remembered that songs, I could find something in common between them, and at the same time you will be noticing something completely different.
What Marco drew for this song is Marco's "Pink Floyd", not Pink Floyd itself. Indeed, I feel an exceptional talent to him. For example,I'd like you to check the chord progression of the second part of this song. Mr.Marco treats it so that it is not cleverly noticed immediately,You will notice that the essence of a famous song nicely included. There should be many people who understood by just listening.Therefore, the title of this song is "MEMORIES OF THE PAST ... TRIBUTE", I do not ask Marco, I imagine arbitrarily and enjoying it. :)

Again working on impulse. I usually wait a few weeks between each tracks but this one just came out, yes again on impulse. When I see what’s going on and what we’re doing to the earth….sometimes I feel or hear the earth cry…..I know that sounds very silly. But maybe…just maybe we’ll learn to respect the earth more….Am I being silly again? Maybe just wishing or hoping that life will change for the better.

Notes: 

	Nothing exists without the pieces...each piece adds its sliver of magic to the whole.  As the project grows, the magic grows beyond the boundaries of what was capable by the pieces alone.  The slivers ignite, they burn like a forge and melt the pieces together into something uniquely its own.

	Sitting in the production chair waiting for the pieces arrive... where the story starts and where it ends, is miles apart.  At some point in the process the magic seeps in and I marvel at how that comes about.  One moment you open the session and it is simply different...more alive...more of something. That's the thing worth chasing... it's worth witnessing...it's worth touching if only for a second.  

Tainted Icarus (Jeff) : Working on this has made me feel cooler than I have any right to feel.  I got to work on, play on and sing on a great song.  Jay nailed something great right from the start.  From the moment I heard it... I thought "Hell yeah... I want to be part of that".  Our first meeting, we all agreed  we are going to focus on crafting a piece of music that was something we wanted to listen to. Mission successful for me!!!

We have some things in the works as a band going by the name: The Welcome Parade.  I am very excited and hope to start sharing details soon!

I had been really wanting to make new music with Calebass. I have been making a lot of songs that lean more heavily toward hip hop the last couple years and felt like heading back toward the direction of my earlier years on SoundCloud. Luckily Calebass was willing and ready and the music flowed easily and steadily. Jon did an amazing job adding an element of jazz with his bass and Janine really awakened the psychedelic spirit and Age of Aquarius with her vocals. It was extra bonus to have both Sinfields participate in this song making this a real SC family affair. Lyrically, I was inspired by the children’s book, Ox-Cart Man, which I love, and all the felt mouse toys I recently made for my cat at my daughter’s request.

I am so happy to share some of my own crazy with you through these songs and this album. All my heart is in these tunes, and a lot of sweat as well. I truly hope you will enjoy the mix of dark electronic music and uplifting vibes. With this music I continue to explore dark realms (musically and personally) while holding space for positivity and invigorating energy. “My Own Crazy” is a trip down the road to my inner self, while reflecting upon how to stand my ground as a compassionate and emotional individual in our confusing world of material and superficial success.
