After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. It comes as no surprise that the single is already platinum in Italy, top 30 in Germany (and rising) and top 5 airplay in South Africa!

Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. In addition to the supreme remix package from Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee, new remixes come from Friend Within, and Marc 'MK' Kinchen, who steps up to deliver one of his much loved MK edits which premiered last Friday on Pete Tong.

Continuing a busy 2013 after Ultramajic's inaugural release "Hot Inside" as well as debuts from the elusive Aden and Creepy Autograph, Jimmy Edgar returns to his own occult-inspired Ultramajic imprint with the Mercurio EP, three tracks of throbbing sampladelia as undeniably robotic as they are irresistibly funky.

Ultramajic has lofty aims, uniting Edgar's twin passions for ritual magick and meditation while focusing on developing new artists and a new personal sound. Having just wrapped up a summer of touring his collaborative JETS project with label partner Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum, Mercurio suggests a restless energy honed by enthusiastic crowd response to the martial beats. The title track "Mercurio" is a flurry of competing crescendos and fractured vocal samples over a bulbous bassline. "Qlinda" is equally celebratory, utilizing microtonal shifts in the stereo field and exuberant sampling before morphing into a half-time ooze. "Ultraviolet" highlights Edgar's special skill with modular synthesis  to craft an electro-tinged jack, machines on the edge of collapse.

With artwork by longtime collaborator Pilar Zeta, Jimmy Edgar continues to play with new age philosophies and esoteric inspirations in the deluxe, hand-crafted packaging for the label's releases.

Edgar will highlight these new tracks as he continues to tour in 2013, including performing as JETS at Decibel Festival and Mutek in Mexico City. Edgar's full remaining tour dates can be seen below:

A self-confessed lover of classic electro, the 3 tracks present contain the mechanical aesthetics and skewed sonics of the labels he holds close to heart, whilst packing an undeniable punch that will see these drawn for time and time again.

Released on 12” vinyl and digital, Daze is the first in a whole slew of acts to be welcomed onto the roster over the course of the year, and marks another exciting chapter for the burgeoning label.

Jimmy Edgar Announces New EP, Label Launch, Special Projects

Detroit’s Berlin-based Jimmy Edgar is on a mission to manifest dance culture on a level deeper than any bass can drop. Synthesizing his passions for esoteric philosophy and ‘90s club music, Edgar announces a new EP, label launch, and special projects with fellow multimedia mystics Machinedrum and Pilar Zeta.

An alumni of vaunted electronic labels Warp, !K7 and Hotflush, Edgar teams with longtime friend and frequent collaborator Machinedrum (Travis Stewart) to launch a new label called Ultramajic. The two have been “deep telepathic friends” since their teen years when Stewart encouraged Merck Records to sign Jimmy based on a random CDR that found its way to the label in 1999. In addition to doing A&R for the new label, Stewart’s work with Edgar includes their side project JETS, as well as film and installation pieces.

The new label’s first release is Edgar’s new EP, Hot Inside, out June 10th. Hot Inside struts with libidinous abandon and oozes supernatural essence. The title track opens Hot Inside with a filtered diva wail, cavernous beats, and warped techno grooves. “Shout” is a pulsating electro stomper, riddled with vocal loops, oscillating synths, and shuffling syncopation. “Strike” is a stripped down jacking track that soars into an infinite fade.

“These tracks were started in South America when I was at Machu Picchu and on a sort of metaphysical adventure down there during December,” Edgar explains. Keeping his body music’s sensuous aura, Edgar intensifies his dancefloor focus, inspired by his extensive remix work and DJ gigs. “I'm booked every weekend this year on almost every continent.” In 2012, Edgar did over thirty remixes, including a Portishead edit he made hours before his Boiler Room set with Hotflush’s Scuba.

Hot Inside will feature collaborative artwork with Pilar Zeta, a longtime creative partner. As part of Edgar’s complete experience concept, they are also releasing a metaphysical card deck based on the Law of One, a series of books allegedly cowritten by an extraterrestrial being. "We are very interested in the idea of ancient magick becoming a modern reality and merging it with art culture... We are invested in making these things relevant again and spiking some curiosity within young people."
