No Way Home

During the process for the Long Way Home recording, there were many tracks and alternate versions that had been left out from the release. We decided to select a few in the form of a new album, No Way Home.

First off, long time best friend and collaborator Atjazz reworks Space Time in such an elegant way that only he can achieve. Palma gets reworked by one of the leaders of the balearic genre via Zagreb, our new friend Ilija Rudman. He strips down the arrangements while keeping the vibe of the original intact.

On the title track, Long Way Home (No Way Home), Fred used alternate drums while adding some space to the mix. One In A Million (Freestyle Instrumental) gets a new beat reminiscent of 80’s freestyle but this time, without the original vocoded vocals of Franky Selector. by Day feat Sio gets a slightly more uptempo broken beat treatment while Un Dimanche Soir (Sunday Night) is a housier version of Un Dimanche Après-Midi, written in the evening of the same day.

Things break down a bit with an ambient version of Palma. Silver Light (Original Dub) is here in its original dub form as the album version was updated last minute to a regular 4/4 beat. Alright is an unreleased track, written during the album sessions. Barbarella Dub is inspired by a sunrise set at the infamous Tisno outdoor club and we finish the album with a reprise version of Something.

He watched the driver leap out of the car and hurry into the shop, leaving the keys in the ignition. Pausing for another moment, he lowered his sunglasses and slinked towards the car, casually opening the door and making himself comfortable before turning the key, gripping the wheel, and putting his foot down.

Alinka pulls no punches with the 4AM mix of ‘Do What U Want’; punchy rhythms, chopped vocals and a catchy hook of acid stabs make up the title track of her forthcoming EP on her brand new imprint, Fantasy Life. 'Do What U Want' is a love letter to dance music, flaunting the retro flavours that Alinka has become known for through her DJ sets and releases with Twirl Recordings. But although the EP harks back to those classic house framework, the Berlin-based producer succeeds at keeping each track engaging and fresh by expertly weaving in complex layers of sound.

In 1992, a few years after the emergence and euphoria of Acid House, 23rd Precinct Music was at the forefront of ground-breaking dance records. Limbo Records was founded in 1992 by Director and Owner of 23rd Precinct Music, Billy Kiltie. The label had a huge success from the very start with its first three releases selling over 20,000 units. Limbo went on to release music from some of the biggest names in the dance scene. 
Not only were Limbo Records the leading label in Progressive House...they created it.
