I dedicate this recording to the passionate musician, composer and philosopher Klaus Weinhold.

Halbautomatik – semi-automated human failures. All patches were created with primitive logic and strictly limited configuration options. Neither sequencer nor prebuilt drums and voices were used. All tracks were performed and recorded in one-shot sessions to keep it a raw and unique listening experience far beyond nowadays conformist music architecture.

Thomas Burkhardt - Halbautomatik II (EP Preview)

The dark: the recent passing of friend Paul Schreiber, owner of Synthesis Technology. Along with fellow rocket scientists Eric Brombaugh and Robert Rich, he engineered the E370 Quad Morphing VCO which I use everyday. He was a true genius, a snarky story-teller, a good hearted guy. I felt honored just to know him, occasionally helping with some demos and testing on various modules.
