OBELIJA - tai baltiško archajinio folkloro grupė iš Vilniaus, Lietuvos sostinės. Grupėje – keturios merginos, jungiančios skirtingas vokalines bei instrumentines patirtis į vientisą skambesį. “Obelija” senojo folkloro mokosi ne tik iš dainynų, dainų rinkinių, bet ir pačios rengia ekspedicijas rinkti ir mokytis folkloro iš pirmų lūpų bei taip tęsia gyvąją senojo dainavimo tradiciją. Grupės narės ne tik dainuoja – jos yra ir amatininkės: kiekviena atlikėja vilki pačios siūtais rekonstruotais X-XI amžiaus baltiškais drabužiais, ryši pačios vytomis ir pintomis juostomis.
Grupės atliekamose dainose dera šimtmečius menančios melodijos senąsias apeigas bei įvairias praeities istorijas pasakojantys tekstai su jaunatviška energija.
Dainose suskamba gilūs būgno garsai, švelnus kanklių skambesys ir varpeliai. Kiekvienas grupės “Obelija” pasirodymas įtraukia į kerinčių dainų sūkurį ir primena apie tai, iš kur mes atėjome, kas tikra ir sava.

[EN] Obelija is a group of four Lithuanian girls who collect old folk songs and perform them in a traditional, but unique way. Using traditional instruments, they arrange and play the songs with their own signature, just like people have done for centuries, when songs weren’t written down and finalized in songbooks, but taught orally, from generation to generation. The girls gather material by travelling around the country, visiting those who still sing the songs they learnt from their grandmothers and grandfathers back in the beginning of the last century. These expeditions have yielded many previously unknown and forgotten songs, adding to the girls’ growing repertoire. For their live performances, Obelija wear reconstructed Baltic clothes from the 10th and 11th century, which they make themselves using old techniques, as their interest in history isn’t limited to music only, but also includes crafting, amongst other things. Every performance by Obelija takes you back to the time when their culture was born. Melodies and lyrics from hundreds of years ago meet their youthful energy, just like it would have been back then when the village elders taught their culture to the next generation.

Huun-Huur-Tu (Tuvan: Хүн Хүртү Khün Khürtü, Russian: Хуун-Хуур-Ту) is a music group from Tuva, a Russian Federation republic situated on the Mongolian border.
The most distinctive characteristic of Huun Huur Tu’s music is throat singing, in which the singers sing both the note (drone) and the drone’s overtone(s), thus producing two or three notes simultaneously. The overtone may sound like a flute, whistle or bird, but is actually solely a product of the human voice.
The group primarily uses native Tuvan instruments such as the igil, khomus (Tuvan jaw harp), doshpuluur, and dünggür (shaman drum). However, in recent years, the group has begun to selectively incorporate western instruments, such as the guitar. While the thrust of Huun Huur Tu’s music is fundamentally indigenous Tuvan folk music, they also experiment with incorporating not only Western instruments, but electronic music as well.

Sutartronica blends Lithuanian folk polyphony (sutartinės) with electronic music, creating a unique bridge between heritage and modern sound.
