Born in the UK and raised in Beyrouth, DJ/Producer William Mahfoud (aka Rise 1969) returned to London to obtain a degree in sound engineering from SAE Institute and successfully drilled his way through the English electronic music scene. From taking part in the not-so-legal raves around the outskirts of London to playing gigs in The Ministry of Sound, and being associated with indie labels like DMT Records, ABCD, Metafiziq, Air Snare and the up-and-coming Plankton Repellent, Will's music ranges between dark beats that carry a perceptible Middle-Eastern influence and sound experimentations involving EEG, neuro-feedback, brain waves and psychoacoustics. He is now working between Beyrouth and Dubai, working on new releases and collaborations with artists within the local scenes.
