I Hear The Voice Of My Grandmother Calling - Jessica Bromby

This is a song from my first album, Fancy Free.  I composed this song back in California, as my sweet cherubim were taking a nap and I leaned against an old oak tree in meditation. I was beckoned from my meditation to press record on my phone...and this flew through.  It was inspired by my near death experience and visit to the Celestial realm, where I was surrounded by multitudes of Light beings and filled with more LIGHT and LOVE than I ever had imagined possible.  We're never alone.  I've got faith!

English translation :
Little parrot, don’t eat from this farm anymore,
It belongs to my sister
We were born of the same mother
and, even though she left me in a dangerous place,
she is my elder sister. She was looking for the road to the city,
and at the same time, I came loose from the tree that held me.

Mother, you requested that when you died
I should plant a kola tree at the head of your grave,
and plant a calabash at its foot,
and that if I followed the direction in which it grew
I would find my sister.
I’ve seen her, I’m happy,
she gave me a little sitompete
and when I swallowed it I felt my vocal cords jump.
Mother, my problems are over.

I climbed up to pick a fruit
and I said: "This is the first..."

I hadn’t even reached number six 
when the owner appeared
throwing an ichóchono at me. I threw a spear at him.
The ichóchono didn’t hut me but my spear hurt him.

The birds are sleeping and the animals too.
Everything is sleeping except for you.

Little darling, don’t cry anymore. 
Your mother is going to bring
a delicious vegetable casserole 
with the best ingredients
and the little boy in the hut 
will bring you a little dream.

Don’t fall asleep when you’re feeling
angry or resentful. I love you.
