Here'z another gr8 mixtape I found 2day. Thank God I made a copy back in the dayz becuz as I digitized the master copy snapped. In any case, I have 2 say K-Hand was definitely 1 of the dopest  techno DJ'z out of tha Motor-City... & yest I'm including all the male dj'z in this.
Kelli also had an amazing label Acacia Records. Everything that came out of that label was FI-YAHHH!!! 
So sad she left us early, but her music will live on through these mixtapes & the music she created. R.I.P. Kelli ❤️

Part of the Living Analógica Live Showcase with Mike Grant (USA) and Lepablot (ARG). Recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina with 300 music lovers.

Mike Grant is part of the first wave of artists who shaped the sound of Detroit. He began DJing in the early 1980s under the mentorship of Blake Baxter and has since been a quiet yet pivotal force in the history of techno and house: a member of the legendary “Street Beat” crew alongside Juan Atkins and Derrick May, a key figure in Detroit’s first radio mix shows, and one of the earliest DJs to appear on WGPR’s The Scene alongside Jeff Mills and other pioneers.

He was also the first U.S. DJ to hold a residency at Berlin’s iconic Tresor club, a global temple of underground music. As a producer, he released essential records under his own name and as Black Noise, and has been remixed multiple times by Mr. G.

In 1999 he founded Moods & Grooves, a label that became a meeting point for the most authentic strains of house and techno. It has released music from Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Mr. G, Andrés, Glenn Underground, and opened the door for countless emerging voices through Mike’s distinctive curation.

The Moods & Grooves universe also includes artists like Nico Lahs, Solid Gold Playaz, Gene Hunt, Piranha Head, Brian Harden, Rick Wade, Amp Fiddler, Alton Miller, Blake Baxter, Kyle Hall, and Boo Williams — different eras and trajectories united by a common thread: deepness as a message.

Despite dedicating much of the 1980s and 1990s to military service — including a deployment in Afghanistan where he oversaw the technical operations of a gospel ministry — Mike never stepped away from music. In 2022, he received a Testimonial Resolution from the City of Detroit recognizing his cultural contributions and musical legacy.

Today, Mike Grant continues to spin records and minds with sets that are living history, a pulsing present, and a vision of the future. Electronic music with soul: deep, uncompromising, and real.

Radio Guesthouse 60 – Mark Broadbent

This mix was originally meant to be recorded live at my next gig in Edinburgh at the end of the month. When it looked like I’d have to cancel, I decided to record it at home instead - just to share the vibe I had planned.

But the gig’s now back on, and the mix took on a life of its own. I kept going, extending it into a five-hour session that moves through all the sounds I’ve been drawn to lately - from new to old, much deepness and some feet shufflers.

Wanted to also pay tribute to the late great genius that was D'Angelo. May he rest in power x
