Together they go as dark as they feel across 4 impressive cuts on their Alpha release, blending peak time-intensity with Industrial grooves and dark side body music their own way. 

Alpha becomes the first of multiple collaborative concepts that will expand further over the year.

Token returns with the second instalment of Fuga.

Following on from Fuga I, which featured music from new and exciting talents alongside more established players within the genre, the label presents its next incisive entry.

Spread across eight tracks once more, the release continues in the same vein as its predecessor presenting a collection of reduced techno recordings in equal parts atmospheric as they are functional.

As a compilation the release develops gently - JRD's undulating workout Purple Blades opens proceedings, followed closely by Dutch Stalwart Deniro's crisp riser Silhouette. Sleek reduction Blush, courtesy of JSSL, continues this soft increase in intensity before ORBE's stylish, acid driven Motor opens things up properly into peak time territory. Argentinian Pfirter toys with big room kick drums and an outlandish rave lead on Cyclic Model, managing to deliver an occasionally misconceived combination with some considerable style - and Dustin Zahn turns in a compilation highlight with The Organ Trail, an incessant, heads-down workout. The Lady Machine keeps the energy up with Resilience, and Arthur Robert's closer Illegal Gatherings provides an off-kilter conclusion to the compilation release.

Fuga II provides a continuation of the motifs and constructions explored in the first entry, advancing them to some degree and introducing new characters to Token, whilst maintaining a sense of cohesion within the series itself, and the label as a whole.

Pfirter once again cues up another tectonic release on his monumental MindTrip label that is no stranger to artists such as Jonas Kopp, Lucy, Kr!z, Oscar Mulero, Matrixxman and many more.

The thirty third release welcomes the talents of the UK based Operator to their in demand roster. His notable sound of raw, analogue creations are held in high regard with those who have followed his work. It’s been a long-awaited almost two years since we heard some new material, and it’s been worth the wait to discover his Apocryphal Truths EP and this collection of originals.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the closing track “Mycelium” that is punchy and fierce. The intense chopping layers and rambunctious hats are led by the glorious, bouncing bassline that really sums up a classic take on techno with plenty of contemporary and forward thinking flair.

Ribbon Recordings is the Italian label created in 2014 that has featured the likes of Brendon Moeller / Echologist, Ken Ishii, TWR72, Mattia Trani and Tobias. as they prepare the fourteenth release titled Rivoluzionari that comes in the shape of a ten track compilation.

The label head Manuel Di Martino is from the longstanding techno hotbed of Naples and has had his music appear on Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE, Coyu’s Suara, Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien, also Evod & Oisel’s Evod Music.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Onde” that is an instant gem of ferocity. Its powerful rolling drums and crazy, hypnotic hook make it a huge record for the dance floor that erupts with energy, built for those who can handle tenacity and verve at its finest.
