"Tremont" is a visual track dedicated to a section of the South Bronx in New York City, East Tremont, said to have the highest concentration of poverty in the entire city. This is profoundly true, in an area that was my first home in NYC, I crafted this joint after standing at the corner of East Tremont Avenue & 3rd Avenue, an area that I know intimately. Its the ghetto, through-and-through, and a lot of the area's symptoms and idiosyncracies are common amongst every ghetto everywhere. The track bobs and weaves through these personalities that we pass everyday and acknowledge but tell a story of a larger issue: This is an area filled with real people with very real and very hard lives.

It's the hustlers, pimps and corruption and sinners
drug customers, witnesses and them public offenders
Selling pussy, the hottest summers to troublesome winters,

scaffolding: the perils of gentrification
Bulldozing, construction and lottery high-rises
Social Workers and home visits, ambulance sirens
So back to the block, where garbage be overflowed with food and debit card receipts
and african shops, in the city....

women screaming in cellphones for child support, breadlines, Human Resources
Half-naked and naive, ghetto bitches in tight jeans
young faces forget to monitor personal hygiene
Summer bring hotter climate, with it a sign of violence

Cops is on every corner with death in the city
in questioning pedestrian recollection, its empty
It's the ghetto: The face of each situation is tragic
some turn into alcoholics to cope with the madness
