Beatservice Records welcome back Third Attempt, with the fast-rising artist stepping up to remix his very own 'Sunbeam Symphony'.

The trip-hop themed original version appeared on Third Attempt's brilliant album 'The Novel Sound', with the sparkling club rework poised to introduce the music to all-new audiences.

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, Torje Fagertun Spilde – better known as Third Attempt – has been one of the most intriguing young artists to emerge in recent years. Showing a musical understanding that belies his young age, he breezily glides through genres with his carefully woven productions. His sound appears to evolve with every new release, as Beatservice Records continue to provide a nurturing platform from which he can freely develop his craft.

Here, he exhibits yet another string to his production bow, serving a gorgeously atmospheric and club remix of 'Sunbeam Symphony'. Though the hazy vibrations of the original echo through the new version in the form of the sun-drenched chords and floating motifs, the music is effortlessly reframed with dancefloors firmly in mind. Formed over a crisp house rhythm, the melodic refrains take on new life as psychedelic leads and subtle synth textures elegantly combine over sublime bass notes. The child's vocal resonates through the track, with Spilde displaying his finely-tuned knack for repurposing spoken word samples to evocative effect.

Blissful, dreamy, and with added kinetic weight, the club remix is sure to breathe new life into the already sublime 'Sunbeam Symphony'.

`Running In Your Area` is the third Faux Poly release of 2022 from label bosses Kassian. The release solidifies the mood of the label and moves Kassian closer towards a heavier techno sound, just in time for their Berlin debut at Panorama Bar and HÖR this summer. All three tracks feature the instantly recognisable voice of Theo Parrish, lifted from his infamous Eargoggles show on NTS.

`The Machine` builds on pads and acid elements synonymous with Detroit techno and introduces a strong UK Dubstep influence. This festival leaning electronica track remains restricted and confident, creating a sense of power and presence.

`Off World Vehicles` is simple and surprisingly explosive, a weighty statement techno track suited for bigger rooms, featuring a slow churning acid line and cavernous vocal loop.

Finally, `Actions` is a solid rolling techno club tool which manages to be both reliable and unstructured at the same time, with a looped out vocal and talkbox style acid line.

PM+ strides into 2024 with the invigorating energy only a debutant producer can bring, as we proudly present the first public offering from @mrterrycotta We’ve been party to the steady progression of Cotta’s productions for some time now, and with the arrival of ‘She’s Eclectic’ and ‘Running’ we knew the time was right to drop his sound on the unsuspecting dancefloor. 

There’s a raw vibe to these tracks which embodies the essence of a techno jam, revealing in gnarly overtones driven by deadly, effective arrangements. The curveball moves, like the outré drop-out in ‘She’s Eclectic’ or the twisted vocal sample in ‘Running’, are the signature of an artist following their own instincts with nothing to lose. That’s precisely why we’re so drawn to these cuts. 

The rhythm sections won’t let you down, while the synth work and sound design has more than enough spiciness to dance on your tongue and warm your guts. What else do you want from a pair of club tracks?

Shoreline is a groovy dance-track inspired by jazz and funk. Quite satisfied with the flow and feel. It features one of my favourite sounds, the rhodes piano, accompanied with a funky bass line and some field recordings from a nearby beach. Hope you like it!

Now we've got an electro house stomper "Controller 90" from none other than J Wax. This and three other tunes make up J Wax's freshest output - a floor filling EP titled Port To Port that's brought to us compliments of Unit Two Records. "Controller 90" is all retro sounds and ice-cold grooves. It's a nonstop peak jam. Crystal clear drum patters and rhythmic synth lines weave in and out of each other while a simple bass line holds it all together.
