Accordé à l'astrologie et l'alignement des planètes le festival rassemble près de 99 millions de pèlerins Hindou durant 1 mois. C'est dans ce carde là que Jungle Weed a composé cet album en enregistrant des musiciens, des chanteurs mais aussi tout sorte de sons et de bruits d'ambiance.

Jerome, more widely known as J Rokka has that rare quality of being both open and inspirational, able to receive and translate ideas but also strong and opinionated when is required. He is a pleasure to work with and having produced and written music professionally for over 20 years (the Future Sound Of London/ Noel Gallagher / the Amorphous Androgynous to name a few) I quickly came to trust and value his input and opinion. He is an inspirational Cellist, great singer, and specializing in bass music J Rokka has the distinction of being equally comfortable and authoritative behind the computer with producing/ mixing. It is this which sets him aside for me- I have never met someone who understands so implicitly the art of playing an instrument when coupled with the ability to collage the potential of the performance using the tools at his disposal into sonically interesting productions before- it is an art that I have learn't gradually over 20 years yet he has come to this understanding within several years so its frightening to think where this understanding will take him. The most sacred place in the world for Hindus, the city of Shiva. it is believed that if a person's ashes are scattered here, then his soul will eventually reach nirvana: Moksha (the definitive release from the perpetual cycle of rebirth) .Harishchandra Ghat (named for a legendary king) is one of the two ghats burning of Varanasi and the energy that reigns on this shore a deep serenity, devoid of any forced reverence, the atmosphere here is not that of sorrow, because the mourners laugh, chat and play cards as and when funerary preparations, body wrapped in a shroud are carried on bamboo stretchers in the narrow alleyways to be cremated there and children play a game of cricket through the lumps of wood waiting for the flames, families sneak between stacks of wood collected for burning bodies; Some are here to watch while drinking tea, others are here to meditate in front of the flames, to smoke on a chilom, to talk to some babas
of life and death, old sadhous, hermits or itinerants having renounced the material world to attain spiritual liberation, and living both outside and among society. The Sadhous aghori are so scared of death that they cover themselves with ashes and burn in skulls ... The site of Varanasi is a hive of activity. A city that has never slept for more than 5000 years
