This 2nd VA gathered by the reptilian mafia presents a darker side than the first compilation. You will get to hear some delicate sound design from Paris-based bass addict Machka, some deep and mellow brainfucking downtempo from Swiss duo Los Pashminas, and a big riddim from Toulouse-based bass music queen Jan Loup and her high detailed and overdriven footworking dubstep. Oceya turns the next page with a psychedelic soulful downtempo track, tingling your agmydala with her distorted vocoded voice, opening the path for heavy industrial breaks from our friend Mawen, sound engineer of our first release and talented producer based in Bordeaux. Danniel Dhnl follows with his classic gimmicks of "Tribal Guaracha" straight from México, then Nour Kara also from Toulouse, delivers a dark technoïd yet organic tribute to Iranian women fighting for freedom. To close the deal, Da Iguana & Doko Modo prepared some trancey downtempo rooted in earth but crossing the cosmos, Islyz a heavy drum & bass track with reptile skin-like textures, and our close friend Meo is the goodbye giver, with some forest-infused, muddy yet delicate "popperstep" made with his good old octatrack. This compilation is a powerful source of energy, a medicine for cold blooded people, and thus, had to be called Gator Aid.

Premiere: Twerking Class Heroes - Perception [Oro Negro]

We are dedicating our anniversary show to Chris Brick, whom we met in his shop in Cardiff in 2008. This encounter continues to inspire us in many ways to this day.

Smylonylon (pronounced SMILE-on-NY-lon) was a vintage clothing boutique in downtown Manhattan. It opened in 1994 on Crosby Street. The shop was owned and operated by Chris Brick (of Family of God and Demob Clothing) and his wife Judy (singer Linda Lamb), who happened upon a large stash of vintage clothing from the 1970s in 1993. Certainly their eclectic taste in music influenced the atmosphere of the shop, perhaps even more than the clothes, and Chris collaborated with his friend Alex Gloor (In Flagranti) to tirelessly produce mixtapes of their rare record collections, ranging from South American exotica and French orchestral music to Italo disco, musique concrete and minimal synth.

There are 30 volumes of mixtapes titled Smylonylon, and others titled Tynyny, named after a legendary party in the West Village hosted by the shop's crew.

This version is without the spoken parts, just the music.
