The Pleasure Of Time

This piece came by itself, while making sound with Octasine
and from echoes from my mind.
After that I felt it needed a Taiwanese title.
When trying various names I discovered Wang Ying,
Wang Ying is the name of a composer, but also the name of an Erhu player
and also of another female singer.

Not as interested this time as much in critical feedback. (Edit: oh go ahead and be critical if you like). I realize it's a bit repetitive. Simplistic bassline. Not even any drum fills. But I really like it as is. A lot. The harmonica sounded like it was saying "down the river". From there I started thinking of a river on fire that was sort of like the infinite corridor in the castlevania tv series on netflix. I might try to find a more representative picture. (Originally uploaded on 5/7/23. On 5/9/23 I went back and changed the high pass on bass and kick from 50hz down to 25 hz or so. And made drums a bit more coherent in general.)

The synth this month is Apricot by Nakst, a very capable 2 osc VA.  Great sound, and super light on the CPU, also loads like a demon.

Charmed Und Forbidden

An EP that was simply made for fun. I started taking my music too seriously (despite facing little to no pressure) and got to a point of not enjoying it. I gave myself no time limit and made whatever sounded "cool" and enjoyable to me. I spliced both old demos and scrapped sounds with new ones, and I this is the most genuine fun I've had making a project thus far.
