It all started in 2015 on Fl Studio mobile. My uncle, cousin, and I started a music group named “Black Volturi”. The Volturi is the most powerful vampire family in the Twilight series, and we put together BV. They were the songwriters, I was the producer. Occasionally I would spit some bars but I enjoyed making beats more than recording myself, I just wanted to record them. Time after time, we tried to give up because we were running in place, with no motion, connections, nor fans. One thing we were doing right was perfecting our craft and we became more understanding of this not being an overnight dream. We would have to stay dedicated to the grind, dedicated to getting our family out of the hood, dedicated to a purpose. We did just that and became unstoppable, making us BV ( Black Volturi ). In 2017, their lives were taken by gun violence on the same day, so it’s hard to do this without them. Every time I pick up a pen or play a beat, I think of them I do this for them and my family before I do it for myself.
I know they would want me to finish what we started.
