Heart-warming chimes, hazy vocal chops and futuristic drums lay at the core of ‘Glockenspiel Riddim’ as Fred V’s signature feel-good energy raises the vibe into a realm of smile-inducing flourishes and vitalising melodies.

‘Already Disappeared’ is a euphoria drenched singalong anthem. A clear demonstration of his multifaceted production style, Fred V brings together elevating atmospheres with sounds from the deeper side of the drum & bass spectrum.

Illustrious pads and big room synth plucks set the scene on ‘Gezellig’, paving the way for a rumbling reese bassline and drums which include old school breaks with a 2021 twist. Prepare to be taken to a world of exhilarant vibrations and blissful auras.

Album title-track ‘Radiate’ features the breathtaking vocals of Lottie Jones who is no stranger to Fred V’s productions with previous collaborations including ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Proximity’. Melodic master and drum & bass extraordinaire Etherwood makes his album debut on Hospital Records with his fourth long player, ‘Neon Dust’, following on from the successes of his Med School works ‘In Stillness’, ‘Blue Leaves’, and ‘Etherwood’. Across twenty tracks, expect signature liquid drum & bass and Etherwood’s own vocal performances with a fusion of folk, rock, indie-pop, techno, downtempo and ambient delights. Alongside his vast range of musical inspiration, Etherwood’s creativity is evoked through his free spirited mindset, exploring the world in his converted van, dedicated to mindfulness and meditation. 

Etherwood and Zara Kershaw present their latest liquid ballad ‘Lighthouse’, a collaboration that will light up the hearts of drum & bass lovers around the world following their powerhouse classic ‘Souvenirs’. This 2021 edition oozes with euphoria and soul with Zara’s enchanting vocals and a smooth amen break coming together to create a jubilant drum & bass masterpiece.

With a nod back to some of his most popular productions like ‘Cast Away’ and ‘Fire Lit Sky’, the irresistibly nostalgic ‘Dahlia’ sees Etherwood’s signature melodies and chord progressions perfectly intertwined. ‘Caliban’ warms the soul with ambient soundscapes, illustrious synth swells, hypnotising vocal chops and crisp rolling drums. Plus, the melodic techno gem ‘Belorama’ that’s destined for the depths of club basements and 5am festival fields. 

Embracing his love for alt-pop and indie-electronic styles, ‘Follow The River’ rides through the 140BPM territories welcoming the multitalented Lily Budiasa. Based out of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Lily also features on ‘Neon Dust’ and ‘Underwater’ and fronts the ambient-folk band TH’FIKA. ‘Follow The River’ is emotive, raw and inspirational with sensual guitar alongside folk-style vocals. 

‘We Shine Among The Lights’ is a skippy rock ballad, shining a light on Etherwood’s versatile prowess as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Distorted electric guitars and flanger-drenched drums lay the foundations for Etherwood’s dreamlike vocal harmonies. Not shy of switching up his sound, ‘Water In Your Veins’ and ‘Okusha’ lie at the other end of the spectrum - beautifully stripped back downtempo ambience that elevates the senses. 

Other notable moments include the collaboration with the legendary DRS on ‘The Current’, joining forces with Fred V on ‘Nebula’ and working alongside Toronto-based Sigrún Stella on ‘Swans. 

With frequent radio support from top-end tastemakers including Annie Mac, MistaJam and Charlie Tee, as well as countless club spins from the likes of Netsky, Sub Focus, Makoto, Degs and Lens, Etherwood’s hugely popular sound takes another step forward in 2021 with his most recent body of work. Nu:Tone is a name that instinctively populates in a seasoned drum & bass brain upon hearing the words Hospital Records. With five solo studio albums to boast, as well as a wealth of singles and EPs, Nu:Tone’s tracks can always be heard across dancefloors and throughout the festival circuit. Since joining the Hospital Records A&R team and setting up his own mixing and mastering business his ‘own music took a bit of a backseat’. It’s been six long years since Nu:Tone’s seminal ‘Future History’ album in 2014 and now Hospital is thrilled to present the creative mastery that is ‘Little Spaces’.

Ever the tastemaker, Nu:Tone has been at the forefront of guiding and bringing through the next generation of artists, particularly focused on collaborating with new and previously unheard vocalists in drum & bass, placing them at the heart of the songwriting process which is beautifully demonstrated on ‘Little Spaces’. Embodying his classic sound and drawing influence from the iconic Korg M1 synth, One Day At A Time features stunning harmonies from Lalin St. Juste, based out of the San Francisco Bay Area where she also heads up the genre-bending six-piece band The Seshen. Nu:Tones’ long-standing collaborative relationship with Lea Lea has been refreshed, with two features on the album on ‘Instincts’ and ‘The Moment’.

‘Jonas’ brings old-school flavours into 2021 with a slick introduction infused with half-time breaks, before cutting to the chase as some of the most meticulously crafted drums and a killer bassline take centre stage.

Hazy arpeggios and twinkling chimes set the scene on ‘Sleepwalker’ which sees two liquid drum & bass legends join forces. Pairing up with Charlotte Haining who delivers her signature anthemic vocal style, skippy breaks and pressing bass lays the foundation for a truly remarkable collaboration of two highly esteemed artists.

‘Instincts (feat. Lea Lea)’ sees soulful synth stabs from the off, a clear nod to Nu:Tone’s love for house music, before Lea Lea injects sinister amounts of groove with her commendable vocal abilities. Expect stripped back dexterity in signature Nu:Tone fashion, this one means business.

A mainstay of Hospital Records since 2003, Nu:Tone’s contribution to both the label and the wider drum & bass has been highly commendable. From his debut album ‘Brave Nu World’ in 2005 to new-wave anthems such as ‘Everlasting Days (feat. Lifford)’ produced alongside his brother and fellow label legend Logistics, and remixes for the likes of Adele, Emeli Sande and Plan B, Nu:Tone’s music has welcomed support from an array of legends like LTJ Bukem, Annie Mac, Andy C, High Contrast, Sigma, Sub Focus, Norman Jay, Marcus Intalex, Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, and Laurent Garnier to name but a few.
