PLEASURE

The name Legion & Logam has resonated since their first output on the Program imprint. With vocal roller ‘House of Cards’ being picked up by some of the dance world’s leading tastemakers, it saw the production trio ascend to a very critical point in their career. And the glass ceiling has been broken; it was only apt for such rising stalwarts to be given the monumental 25th release in the label’s discography.

‘Holding On’ and ‘Afterthought’ also follow their exclusive signing to the RAM group… Although, it was only a matter of time before the artists were taken in by a label of that calibre.

You’re taken into A-side ‘Holding on’ by the soulful talent of Micah Freeman, guiding you through its beautiful note arpeggios and clicking percussion. Weaving amongst the atmospheric strum of guitar and climatic synth, it’s perfectly refined and demonstrates exactly why they were exclusively signed.

Following on in quick procession is ‘Afterthought’. Pounding against an ethereal, humanistic sample, there’s an underlay of subs which slowly builds and brays between breaks. They masterfully combine impact with a tightly woven composition; fiercely intricate yet without lacking substance, it pedestals the experience which each party brings to the table.

So, here’s to another release which sees Legion & Logam firmly on the radar for years to come. Their talent was already unbridled. However, combining this with one of the biggest and most revered drum & bass labels across the globe, they’re sure to become unstoppable.

It’s once again, time to get with the Program!

'Elements', the sophomore album from Hybrid Minds released back in May 2017 firmly cemented the duo's place in the D&B landscape. With a host of talented collaborators across the album they refined and perfected their trademark sound, picking up a legion of new followers along the way.

Since the album was released they have reached out to some of their favourite producers, both established and new to the scene, and have been curating a series of remixes to give a fresh spin to the project, to explore new dimensions and re-imagine the elements. 

Following on from the Benny L and Mitekiss remixes, up next are reworks from two very different, but equally talented new production outfits. Again mixing the rough with the smooth up step the 17 year old wonderkid Signal, with releases Noisia’s Invisible Recordings and Critical under his belt already... alongside the latest signings to Frictions legendary Shogun Audio GLXY.

"Signal brings an absolutely heavyweight take on ‘Listen feat. Tiffani Juno’. Keeping it techy and rolling with a lot of interesting grooves and switches. He has turned it into a dance floor destroyer. We have been fans of his music for a while and he was an obvious choice when looking for someone to switch things up and turn into a monster!"

"In the last year or so GLXY they have really shown their talent off with their productions heading straight to the top of the class in their style. They were a very obvious choice when looking for a chilled remix of ‘Never Change ft. Grimm’.
