來自美國洛杉磯的製作人Liquid Earth，以Urulu名義遠渡香江在宀與我們一起慶祝踏入2019年新年。Urulu不忘香港，特地製作了一個mix set名為「Ferry to Lamma Island」，音樂型格亦豐層次，滿載著對香港的美好回憶。

本名Taylor Freels，於全球新冠肺炎之初開始以Liquid Earth之名為新製作人代號，現今已發行兩張EP，也在美英兩地的獨立廠牌Butter Side Up、 TerraFirm及 Lemak Records旗下推出其製作。
宀期待Taylor再次踏足香港。

Liquid Earth (LA) played at 宀 New Years of 2019, under the Alias Urulu. He lovingly shipped over a mix as a memory of his visit. “Ferry to Lamma Island” is an eclectic, undulating, sensation of layered sounds. Upbeat and mesmerising, with hints of Hong Kong.

Taylor Freels birthed Liquid Earth at the beginning of the pandemic and has already self-released two EP’s, released on Butter Side Up (Leeds), TerraFirm (Pittsburgh) and Lemak Records (LA).

Liquid Earth landed on our map when his Microsmosis Ep was released on TerraFirm back in 2019. It was spun at every opportunity, and we wern't alone. Played by many a favorite DJ of ours, it sounded particularly amazing on the hoppetosse dancefloor when Vera dropped it back in Feb 2020. Around that time too he remixed Triform - Vinaloop for our first Faciendo vinyl release, and hasnt stopped since. There's plenty of new music coming from Liquid Earth and here he shares a magical live DJ set brimming with energy from a recent gig in New Zealand :)

Californian native Taylor Freels has been shaping dancefloors for some time and in a past life under the name Urulu has had quite an impact our community. Having shelved the project momentarily a new alias has sprouted in the form of Liquid Earth. With countless bangers already under his belt Taylor is a core member of many taste making collectives, Butter Side Up, Kalahari Oyster Cult all benefit from his refined dancefloor focused style. Not staying in one place for too long but more than happy to revisit certain time periods in house music but with a revised vigour and wide eyed appreciation for the love that has gone into the original source material. Liquid Earth steps forward with a briljant selection of hazy moods and modern-day steppers. Operating under a variety of different monikers, Taylor Freels has produced some seriously good deep and propulsive club music over the last couple of years. Mainly focused on his Liquid Earth project now, he recently landed original material on Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up. While Taylor is busy working on material for his new record label, touring and diving into the world of electronic engineering, we caught up to hear the latest on developments. And, much to our pleasure, he delivered the latest episode in our mix series.
