DF Tram’s new album, his first on Liquid Sound Design, is an ode to easy listening, spoken word, ambient, deep crate digging, and psychedelia. It was written and recorded at DF Tram’s studio in San Francisco, then completed with the help of the wizards at the Liquid Sound Design studio in London, under the production prowess of the label’s head honcho, Youth. 

Each track on the album tells a story, and manages to fuse many different genres in the process; from old school ambient, to straight up dub, a true trip for the senses that will surprise the listener with it’s broad sonic palette. The album has 11 tracks, including remixes by 
The Orb and The Irresistible Force who were instrumental in influencing DF Tram 
and his eclectic collage style of sounds. The album not only features vocal collaborations 
with Coppe’ Sweetrice and Lina Fouro on “Honeycomb”, and “Stellar by Starlight”, but also features Maltese Pianist Clifford Borg on “Thousand Knives”, and Youth who lends his talents on bass. 

As one of the tracks on the album asks, "Where will you be when the starlight comes?”

We are honoured to continue our Chill Space Mix Series and next installment of our 'Halloween in Chill' edition from a very special guest: the legendary music producer YOUTH.

Martin 'Youth' Glover is a pioneer in the revolution of our psychedelic electronic music scene, having founded both Liquid Sound Design & Dragonfly Records and giving birth to the rich scene we now call our 'psy' scene. The two labels are credited for being, quite arguably, the first to release psychedelic dub & goa trance, started at the legendary Butterfly Studios in Brixton, where so many labels and artists formed and defined their acts. Flying Rhino, TIP, Twisted... not to mention of course the seminal Dragonfly Records, with the first definitive trance album series Order Odonata. 

Expect to hear much more from Liquid Sound Design these coming months as we are pleased to say they will be joining the Chill Space family fold.

2020 Visions - best of 2020

Hi all, been a while since my last release so it brings me great pleasure to be able to share with you this single track for my good friends at Wobbly Records. 

The Wobbly records guys have been unbelievably good to me over the years and i've played for them countless times. They even organised my album launch party! So when they asked if I had anything I could contribute to their next compilation it would have been rude to say no! Their remit for the compilation was 'techy' haha, so i tried my best to make this track in keeping with the techno and minimal vibes they were going for. Plus this track will be released on vinyl alongside some of the best producers out there, having an actual record printed is a first for me so that's very exciting.
