Nearly one year has passed since soundcloud.com/tormaindub’s "Among Aliens and Gods"album was released. Four singles were spawned from it, each matched with a remix.

Youth and Gaudi return with their long awaited second album, ‘Stratosphere’

The album is a cosmic psychedelic journey through the hyperspace and back by two wall-breaking out there artists/producers coming back together. Grammy Award winning producer Youth: highly respected music writer/producer, sonic pioneer, and founder and bassist of Killing Joke; and Gaudi: international dub master and maverick producer of note. Two bass leviathans duelling their way through sci-fi, psychedelic dub space... and the resulting album is truly a testament to the duo’s synergy.

‘Stratosphere’ is an alchemical showcase of spacious dimensions, a masterclass in weaving it up right and keeping it tight, with signatures and sounds from both pioneering producers, transmuted by each other into something unique and full of absolute joy and grooviness!

Bubbles of light raise from the depths of this ocean, floating upwards as they become bigger and brighter, stirring the velvet waters as they finally emerge. "Among Trees I Want To Live" is spanning electro acoustic sound to meditative patterns somewhere in the landscapes you can listen and dance to. The album opener "Regenerative" is a deep ridin' tune driven by its deep mood and catchy guitar riffs while "Imagination Creates" hypnotically moves through dub chord driven spaces and unfolds its moving in depth groove. "The Living Green" takes us on a trip into melodic synth patterns that find their counterpart in the electric pad like guitars. "Wisdom of Resistance" carries echoes throught the magic mystical forest in an epic but deep and patient arrangement while "Electric Leaves" is tripping through a mysteriously harmonic soundspace. "Days In The Tree" follows the same path continuing that special atmosphere dipped with indian sounds which leads to "Network Of Life": a smooth moving Tech track that Gabriel Le Mar created in collaboration together with young new artist Joey K. "Outside Of Time" rounds up the album with a smooth deep shuffling beat an intense synth and ebow touched singing guitar moods. Sounds that don't exist in nature but they create an atmosphere of tender closeness to the trees.

With 30 years of dub production experience and seemingly a lifetime historically working alongside Youth, Alex Paterson’s The Orb remix seems a natural choice to start off this compilation. 
Starting things off with an intro that sounds as though it’s plucked from the original Star Trek series, they run the gauntlet of tribal rhythms, sound fx, telephone rings, vocal stabs, commentary and utilise the vocoder with the ease and grace of an Olympic 100m sprinter.

Coming from a French/Indian/Caribbean family, Cosmic Dust aka Damien Gallau was born in 1985 in France, he has always been passionate by music.
At the age of 16, he was playing Rock with different bands and projects. His first performance was as a singer, then he was performing as a guitar player for Punk Rock shows.
In 2007, he started to travel around the world, interested by indigenous music, culture and gatherings…
Asia, Australia, US, South America, Europe…Then he went to Osaka city in Japan, where he started his Cosmic Dust project at the 'Wana Bar'.
He also started performing as Hitech DJ, first in the clubs in Osaka, then to Singapore, Malaysia… 

In 2016 he encountered the chillout/psybient/downtempo world and a year later, he was performing a down-tempo set for the tribe at Atman Festival (Sri Lanka).
During the years 2017-2018 he was traveling to Taiwan, this time blasting Psytrance in Taipei clubs and outdoor festival like Miracle, Earthfest Revolution.

In 2018 he came for the first time in Europe as a DJ and performer for the Shankra festival (Swiss), Seed of Freedom (Portugal), Infected festival (Portugal), Psybertech (Portugal), Suti festival (Portugal), Terra gathering (Portugal)  […]

In 2019 he came back to his roots at Atman Festival in Sri Lanka
and played a lot in Thailand, Cambodia and Japan… He also got invited to play at UV bar in GOA .

Damien is also a visionary artist, making lots of artwork and design for psychedelic clothing, tapestries, etc.
