The Sogdians were traders on the Silk Road. They were famed for their welcome.  A small group of their descendants remain, living in a far off valley. 
Maybe still a work in progress, I recorded this little tune on ‘SaySo’ my Les Paul as an antidote for all the modulation and delay obsessions. I’m still messing with the production so may repost it one day. I can never seem to get tracks working well on different kinds of speakers so I hope this sounds good for you.

I accidentally came across bowie and queen's under pressure song - and fancied that it would be some challenge to do an ok cover version of that of course most iconic tune.
And yeah I was right - a tremendous challenge;  that on many an occasion I was on the border of giving up on.  Then after bloody mindedly continuing, it slowly took a shape I could listen to:)
There are lots of different feels in this piece of music and all quickly stuck together. In this version I had to give the spacey feely part in the middle of the song a bit of extra breathing room, but then took out a lot of the long snappy fingers ending - seemed like a good idea at the time.  My excuse - I'm not even inclined to perform my original songs the same, so performing other peoples songs strangely turn into versions as well. Ha ha . . . 'Oh well!'
