fla-vor [AE, noun] – the characteristic quality of a thing – beobachtet man DJ FLAVAONE an seiner Wirkungsstätte, dem DJ – Pult, sieht die detailverliebte Schnelligkeit der Handbewegungen an Mixer und Turntables und seine Hingabe zum Hip Hop, zum Track, der perfekt zur Stimmung auf der Tanzfläche passt, dann spürt man die ‚quality of a thing‘, die seines „Handwerks“. Mit 14 hielt er die erste Rap Platte in den Händen und begann zu sammeln, die ersten Turntables hielten Einzug, inspiriert durch DJ Jazzy Jeff und die DMC Champions wurden aus den ersten Sessions mit 18 Jahren lange Nächte in Clubs, an denen er nicht dem Dancefloor, sondern auf dem Flyer stand. Resident ist er bei den Koblenzer TopEvents, der UNI NERDS – Die Studentenparty, der RoundAbout 90’s und auf der PoolNight. Und auch heimatferne Clubs, von den familiären HipHop Clubs bis hin zur Großraumdisko, im Putzlicht sind ihm nicht fremd – von Mallorca bis Stuttgart ist er unterwegs [*]. Als WarmUp DJ durfte er die Crowd für Petey Pablo, Lil Jon, Q-Parker (of 112), Tyler Woods, Am2Pm, Azad und Afrob vorheizen. Im Radio bei bigFM’s GrooveNightRadioShow durfte er sein „1 Hour Classic HipHop“ Special vorstellen. Gemeinsame Sessions gab’s schon mit ChillyE, DJ Slick, DJ BeOne, DJ Blackskin, Nate Da Great, Tropen Da Don and many more.
