Freak-When-See is an aspiring Beatmaker/Producer from Belfast UK.


Freak-When-See fell in love with dance music from an early age during the early 90's, borrowing (stealing lol) his older sisters vinyl records and cd's of artists like The Prodigy, The Shamen, Capella, 2 Unlimited and N'Trance to name a few. 



As Freak-When-See advanced into his mid teens he started making and swapping mixtapes with friends who were into the Hardcore Techno Rave scene, with artists such as Carl Cox, DJ Trix, Binman, Scooter, DJ Scott, Robbie Nelson and Tizer.



By the late 90's Freak-When-See became an avid clubber in the Belfast scene after listening to popular DJ's on BBC Radio One, like Pete Tong and Judge Jules who played the best House, Trance and Techno every weekend, which inspired him and his friends to frequent popular nightclubs like Paradise Lost, Thompson's Garage, Dempsey's Terrace and The Network.

Jimi Needles' musical roots are in hip hop, soul, funk, and disco, but on the turntables he combines pin-point scratching, intricate cuts, breaks, and bass music to craft a unique and high-energy sound that spans genres and keeps the crowd moving! His dynamic sets always pay homage to old-school classics while blending modern sounds, ensuring every performance is one-of-a-kind.

Known for his genre-defying party mixtapes, deck-defying festival performances, and an array of bootlegs and original productions on labels like Swing & Bass, Thick Boy Records, and Jungle Strikes, Jimi has built a reputation as both a skilled turntablist and an innovative producer.

In November 2024, he released his debut album, ''Ample Clearance'', a self-produced project that showcases his versatility as an artist, as a writer, a DJ and a producer. Jimi is also one of the tour DJs for the Symphonica Orchestra, adding his super-tight skills to their live and electric renditions of club classic dance hits.

Firing up the bassbins and hitting you hard with a dose of raggamuffin junglist energy is what Ed Solo is all about. From Glastonbury to Canada's Shambhala, from dirty Brixton back rooms to Spanish arenas, Ed has travelled the globe throwing down his unique brand of ruffneck bassline bravado for more than a decade. 

Ed's knack for the rudest of hooks is equalled only by his sublime studio skills. He cut his teeth in the mid '90s engineering at the notorious SOUR Records studios, going on to lay down a series of groundbreaking collaborations with jungle kingpin DJ Brockie. In 2007 Ed released ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ alongside Skool of Thought, featuring ‘When I Was A Yout’ and ‘We Play The Music’ among others. A 10th anniversary remix package drops in 2017.

Ed’s partnership with Jungle Cakes partner in crime Deekline has thrown up some of the most memorable tunes of the decade. The pair recently mixed the chart-topping 5th edition of their Welcome to the Jungle series.
