Before Fire Butterfly is the melding of the muse-less, Jackie Aylward (Drummer/Singer/Songwriter) and Keeler Grimm (Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter), has brought about a sound that manifests as a multi-faceted performance. With the addition of Dan Jackimek’s (Pianist) melodic runs and resonant overtones, the sound became fuller and more versatile. As an electric act, they push and pull the audience over the divide of rock and blues. In search of a higher vision LNK, a local folk artist was introduced and brought her horn trio, bringing the band to life. The trio is Ramone Esparza (Various Saxophones), Eleanore Bacani (Trumpet) and LNK (Alto Saxophone). Acoustically they touch your soul as a folkie duet with fluid rhythms and eye-opening harmonies. Jackie’s powerful rock rhythms and smokey folk voice; alongside Keeler Grimm’s thick bluesy voice and seductive fret work, bring about a show that drives temptation, as well as your body.

~ Behind the name ~
KEZIA is from the Hebrew name Qetzi'ah) meaning "cassia", from the name of the spice tree. In the Old Testament, KEZIA or Keziah was a daughter of Job. Job or Ayyub is the central character of the Book of Job in the Testament. In the Old Testament, after his first daughter Jemima, the second of the three daughters born to Job after his sufferings is named Kezia or Keziah (see Job 42:14).

The name has been taken to symbolize female equality, since all of Job's three daughters received an inheritance from their father, an unusual circumstance in a time period when women and men were not treated equally.

KEZIAH is other form name of KEZIA. It has same meaning with KEZIA. KEZIAH has been used to named fans of KEZIA. By doing this, there is no difference between the band and their fans. It is because KEZIA itself put their fans as part of the band (KEZIA).

KEZIA is an Etno Alternative band from Bogor, Indonesia. KEZIA is a three member’s band that combines the Indonesian traditional music elements and modern music elements.

It is a unique and fresh music that have a dynamic and ear catchy
music. Songs that are themed general social life and natural lyrics blended
powerfully with the music arrangements.

An EP record has been released in 2010, titled Etno Alternative. Developing a unique arrangement set up the band to be well known among the common people. Atmosphere of the music is recognized by the people as a powerful character of independent music. It is much far away from the usual genre, yet universal songs for common people for the lyrics and melodic tones.

Normandia Nikodemus Gordon (Niko) as guitar player and vocalist. Niko plays traditional musical instruments, such as Suling / Seruling (Indonesian traditional flute), sampeq (Indonesian traditional guitar of Dayak tribe from borneo), etc.

Imanuel Eko Setiadi (Noel) as bass player and backing vocal. Noel plays traditional musical instruments, such as Angklung (from West Java), Suling / Seruling, etc.

Martin Edwart W. N. (Martin Kezia) as drummer, backing vocal and programmer (controlling modern musical device). Martin plays traditional musical instruments, such as Angklung, etc.
