B O K E H's second single ‘simple little things’ from her upcoming album ‘room 42’ is about someone not being upfront with their feelings, it’s about the desire to open up, but also the doubt that comes with doing so. The 90s inspired Pop, Hip-Hop and R&B song is a minimalistic production, with vocals almost Acapella, lead by B O K E H and supported by Ruuth. The soundscape is created from Juno’s, a constant heartbeat kick, 90s styled breaks and crescendos into a surprise rap breakdown by Lex Leosis.

B O K E H is the moniker of singer, producer and video maker, Chloë Lewer, an independent artist from New Zealand, based in Berlin, Germany- where she began her musical career as a busker in 2011. 

B O K E H’s debut album is due for release in 2023. An album which she wrote, performed, engineered and produced in-between her Berlin home studio and on the road, through New Zealand, France, Portugal and Greece.

‘withdrawals from your body’, the first single from the album, is due out on December 2nd, 2022. 
The music video was filmed in Brooklyn, New York.

‘The Afterglow' is about expressing genuine emotions instead of fake feelings. The song was born in Berlin (where I'm based) and I finished the production (and recording the vocals) in the Rocky Mountains in Canada in January, whilst a snowy -37°C haze surrounded my studio in the woods.
In such heavy times in the world, I wanted to create something uplifting, a musical universe that one could escape to when the world outside is too cold. I wanted to bring joy and laughter and not take myself too seriously, because at these times, that seems too trivial to try to be.
And I dunno, I guess I've been thinking lately, well, isn't life too short to not tell them how you’re really, really feelin'? So why not go run to them, and tell them, in this instant?

I hope this song can accompany you on your journey over there..
