DECO is a singer and guitarist based out of Alexandria, VA, raised on Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and whatever else his parents would play around the house. He picked up a guitar at the age of 17 in the hopes of emulating his favorite blues guitarists. Several years of practice later, he was able to put that knowledge to use playing a blues and funk show with a band called The Moochers. After that live performance, he realized how much he still had to learn and decided to create a YouTube channel. What started as a way to force himself to practice more has blossomed into new connections, collaborations, and a way to release original songs. While blues is what got him interested in learning guitar, he’s quickly fallen in love with the upbeat, feel good side of indie and alternative rock. DECO plans to explore this up-tempo genre with his upcoming releases, and with every step forward realizes that there is still so much to learn.
