📀 Mit dem Bus durch Mexiko 📀

✍️ Um innerhalb Mexikos zu reisen verwendet man entweder den Flieger, ein „Collectivo“ oder einen Reisebus. Entsprechend der finanziellen Mittel und der Entfernung sollte die Entscheidung für eines dieser Verkehrsmittel getroffen werden. Am unkompliziertesten ist zumeist der Reisebus. Dieser kann online oder direkt ab einem der unzähligen, über das ganze Land verteilten Terminals gebucht werden. Jedoch sollten für eine 8-12 stündige Fahrt gut 50-60€ eingeplant werden. Die Busunternehmen bieten auch Nachtfahrten an. Nimmt man eine solche Fahrt in Anspruch, erreicht man sein Ziel bereits in den frühen Morgenstunden und hat den ganzen Tag am Ankunftsort. Der Schlafkomfort ist jedoch nur mäßig, kann anderseits in der Folgenacht problemlos nachgeholt werden. So oder so sind die Fahrten mit dem Reisebus innerhalb Mexikos sehr praktisch. 

🎵 Der Podcast von K2W0 ist so bunt wie ein Blumenstrauß und so vielschichtig wie ein Chamäleon. Zu Beginn präsentiert sich das Set malerisch-verträumt und im weiteren Verlauf wird es zackiger und gewinnt an Schneid. Scharfe Hats und knurrende Bässe versinken in der Klangfarbe unterschiedlichster Vocals. Ein Podcast dieser Qualität verwandelt gemixte Musikstücke wahrlich in eine durch Frequenzen determinierte Traumreise.

After a sunny trip to warm Miami to see Magician on Duty, today we head all the way back to the south of Bavaria. In Passau, Lisa Luka welcomes us with her danceable interpretation of her Afterhour. But more on that later.

We came across Lisa Luka through our friend https://soundcloud.com/maria-theresia-von-eberg, who highly recommended her to us. What can we say? In one word: captivating. Her sound focuses mainly on the dancefloor. In terms of tempo as well as in the transporting mood. With this sound, no leg can stand still. And yes, that's exactly what we need in these icy temperatures outside.
Her mix is a fabulous blend of laid-back and exceedingly sun-filled organic dance music with a touch of deepness. After just a few minutes, you can't stop smiling. Even better, because you lose yourself in the Lisa-Lukas‘chen sound cosmos in the blink of an eye. You easily forget all the problems around you plus you will be teleported back to the festival season without any detours. 😊...wonderful. 

As the set progresses, it even picks up more and more speed, but without going too over the top.  After all, we are still at an afterhour. Although some like it wild. But not here. Although maybe a little bit. But that's a matter of opinion.  She skilfully combines in her story different subgenres of house, deep house, techno and dark disco music to a coherent journey in the end.

In addition to the mix, we didn't miss the opportunity to ask Lisa a few questions that we don't want to withhold from you.

➥ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background? 
 
I just don't want to and can't commit myself to that, because I rarely think in genres or choose my tracks accordingly. I simply listen to and play what I like or what I feel, and that can really be ANYTHING.  Mostly I like it groovy, cheeky and with a nice rolling bassline. In my sets you can also find a lot of vocals and guitars, but I can neither sing nor play guitar. :D What inspired and influenced me a lot on my musical journey were the endless nights at Kater Blau about 10 years ago, I would love to turn back time! 
 
➥ What do you think makes a good afterhour? 

Well, it's definitely having lovely people around you, the vibe just has to be right :) Apart from that, I love to dance a bit more at afterhours, so good music is super important to me! It can be a bit of everything, a few old tunes that make you nostalgic as well as tracks that you might not otherwise listen to and then discover and connect with at that very afterhour.
 
➥ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?
 
Don't forget to go home :) Even the best afterhours come to an end and at some point you don't miss anything anymore! It's best to leave when it's at its best.

The Silver brand has been synonymous with Legends like Derrick Carter to Larry Heard even. Today still occasionally booking shows but each month i lock myself in the studio with new music and build Organic Deep House to Afro House compositions purely for Therapeutic Use. Under the Silverfish guise Dave Silver launched a podcast “ The Piscean “ focusing on Organic and Afro House in 2019. I’ve been invited to play for labels and channels from every country and always enjoy spreading Deep House vibes wherever i go ….

To mark our 5th Birthday we thought we'd rustle up a podcast to help kick off celebrations. We've got Italian native, Nicholas, with an extended mix.

Nicholas Iammatteo has an impressive and extensive sense for deeper dance music. What’s even more impressive is the consistency of his releases and his range. Now a staple of Gerd’s 4Lux imprint, he has releases on many labels including Undertones, Kolour Limited, Ourvision, House is the Cure. His greater accomplishment, which has gained the respect of many enthusiasts, is his vinyl only label “No More Hits”. His re editing and remixing of the Nu Groove catalogue brought him to the attention of much of Europe’s club scene and he has remained there ever since.
 
In the club, Nicholas has been pushing his own live set and more recently a DJ set, able to spin extended live sets with improvised parts, he is working towards a more analogue approach. Work with vocalists is in the pipeline, with his ability to be both reverential and sensitive to his influences but also breathe fresh life into them making this an intriguing prospect.

"It began with a crazy sandstorm around the Mayan Warrior Bus so there were not that many bike-riders following us when I started. But with every second of this wild desert sunset, more and more people joined our stage. In the end I couldn't even see the end of the crowd. I am so thankful to everybody who faced the sandstorm and danced with us in the dust. You guys and mother nature created a very special vibe, which I will never forget.
Actually I played 4 tracks which I never had played before. Two of them are not even released yet. I really hope you like this set. See you next year at the playa In dust we trust"
