Though many a man has taken it on faith, you never know it.
Saddlebags and roll the dice. Artifacts and children's toys

Won't someone save me, won't someone come.
Won't someone chisel, carve away the whole
of a life unspent

Child's ideas and things you'll never spend
and lonely days spent alone again.
Rotten fresh fruit and lazy days erase.
Foreign eyes on faded pictures, low rent and untogether.
These things we'll never find, these things we'll never want

Won't someone taint me, take me for a fool.
Won't someone make me, make me have to choose
for a lie unspilt.
