Description: TW is a repurposing of words and sounds that have haunted me. I rip out their consonants, and disembowel their vowels to be spread across the piece. The meter shifts from 4/4 to 3/4 to 5/4 to 8/4, and then back in the reverse, while the syllabic content of each word (1, 2, 2, 3, 5 syllables) subdivides the pulse.

My piece, The Milky Way explores one word: the beginning of our passions, the go go juice of the universe, our first home. This word is broken up, reversed, shattered, and made whole throughout.
