We're taking a trip back to summer with this recording from Huerta's sublime 2 hour set, supplying the soundtrack to a bustling beach stage dance floor on the final night of Dimensions 2022.

I know we say this almost every week, but for our next edition of Trommel InSession we have something very special for you. The moniker Respond/React might be new but it is comprised of three artists that are certainly not new to the scene. Artists Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice will no doubt conjure up lengthy Sentaku parties helmed by their founders and regulars that have helped the Parisian / London based label and event series to flourish. The ethos of the triple trouble combo offers fresh perspective in the relationship between crowd, the music and the emotion that comes with hearing a new track at home and the effect that it has on the audience at a gig. 

The three have illustrious solo adventures and so the prospect of all three artists working together behind the decks is mouth-watering. Luckily for you this ethos was cemented in the live recording of their set for the French brothers Mates in Bordeaux. At the Sentaku showcase Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice deftly switch between banging house, grinding basslines and insistent breaks all with a special synergy between them that resulted in this vibe heavy recording.

Today we bring you two artists with flawless careers. One of them is simply one of the most important figures in the Brazilian and Latin American electronic music scene, the owner of D-Edge, Surreal Park and D-Edge Rio. A DJ for over 30 years, a cultural powerhouse in all segments. On the other side, one of the greatest Brazilian vinyl diggers, who has been building a solid career in North America and Europe.

Together, they joined forces, and we bring you the result of this back2back today.

With a duo of EP’s on Kalahari Oyster Cult, as well as standout releases on WARNING, the longstanding TRUST imprint, and a longplayer on his own LKR Records, it is easy to see why. Zip is co-founder of the label Perlon, is familiar with the dancefloors around the world and famous for his tremendous minimal shifts within the 4/4 scheme. He has an illustrious musical history which began in 1986 as singer in the band Second Voice. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt and joined the EBM band Bigod 20. After several releases the band split. In 1996 he got together with Markus Nikolai and Chris Rehberger to form the audio-visual project Pile. In 1997 he and Nikolai founded the Perlon label, on which he has released under the pseudonyms Dimbiman, Pantytec (with Sammy Dee) and Narcotic Syntax (with James Dean Brown). In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim.

Zip also recorded with Peter "Baby" Ford and has appeared on Ford's label PAL SL. He is a regular guest DJ in clubs around the world and holds residencies at Robert Johnson (Offenbach) and the Panorama Bar (Berlin). He participates in the Narod Niki project, occasional collective laptop live jams initiated by Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. He has released tracks and remixes on Perlon, Playhouse, Force Inc, Novamute and others.

With a nomadic spirit and an intense routine, Sigger also explores other musical landscapes through the bass guitar, expanding his sonic language beyond machines, always in search of genuine expression.

Born from a desire to break patterns, his project is a cry for authenticity.
Each set is a ritual — a journey built with sensitivity, texture, and groove, where every beat invites immersion, catharsis, and the unknown.
