I know we say this almost every week, but for our next edition of Trommel InSession we have something very special for you. The moniker Respond/React might be new but it is comprised of three artists that are certainly not new to the scene. Artists Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice will no doubt conjure up lengthy Sentaku parties helmed by their founders and regulars that have helped the Parisian / London based label and event series to flourish. The ethos of the triple trouble combo offers fresh perspective in the relationship between crowd, the music and the emotion that comes with hearing a new track at home and the effect that it has on the audience at a gig. 

The three have illustrious solo adventures and so the prospect of all three artists working together behind the decks is mouth-watering. Luckily for you this ethos was cemented in the live recording of their set for the French brothers Mates in Bordeaux. At the Sentaku showcase Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice deftly switch between banging house, grinding basslines and insistent breaks all with a special synergy between them that resulted in this vibe heavy recording.

Ahead of two appearances in Tisno this summer, Giammarco Orsini serves up DIM304. An hour of tripped-out groovers with classy elements of progressive house that you'll often find punctuating his productions, both solo and alongside Jacopo Latini as DMA. James Andrew, originally from Bristol and now based in London, has been immersed in music for 14 years, shaped by both Bristol’s vibrant scene and London’s expansive nightlife. In 2020, he co-founded Nothing But Nice Records and debuted his EP Thinking Backwards, which set the tone for his eclectic and genre-bending productions. James has since released several EPs on prominent labels and played DJ sets across Latin America, Australia, and Europe. Today he joins us for UMI's one-year anniversary, curated by Melody for a special birthday program.

𝘴𝘉 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸___In the late 2000s, three friends from southern Italy began shaping tracks out of curiosity and shared obsession. Carmine Mongelli, Cosimo Colella, and Fabio Liuzzi experimented under different names for years, slowly refining their chemistry until it became something unmistakable. What started in small home studios evolved into a deeper mission: a search for a sound that could balance raw energy and emotion, structure and chaos.

That mission found its home in 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀, their new label for complete artistic freedom. After more than a decade of collaborations and releases on respected imprints like Discarded Gems, Mindhelmet, and YAY, the trio decided it was time to let their own vision breathe without compromise.

Their first chapter Paradise City Chronicles Vol.1 sets the tone clearly. The A side draws from early European club energy -- raw, physical, and unapologetic -- culminating in “Destroy The Power”, a track that feels like a manifesto. Driving rhythms and tense layers create a hypnotic effect, while melodic fragments glow through the distortion. The sound is both heavy and emotive, a reflection of how 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 channel nostalgia into something defiant and alive.

With this record, they trace a line from their roots to their present, proving that Paradise City isn’t just a place. It’s an attitude, a collective vision: one they’ve been building for over fifteen years.
