Out of Paris, and very much on the rise — I Am Black Panther is one of those names that has been appearing on flyers with increasing frequency and for very good reason.

Her journey into electronic music is rooted in something broader than the club. A deep passion for rock and hip hop shaped her ear long before she started digging for dance floor records, and that wider frame of reference is still felt in everything she plays. Her sets move through electro, breaks, and forgotten bangers with a personal logic that refuses to be categorised neatly — dark and punchy one moment, atmospheric and hypnotic the next, always driven by instinct and a communicative energy that connects with rooms quickly.

As an artist IAMBP runs Panthers On Wax, her newly launched imprint and a natural extension of the universe she has been building as a DJ — a platform that reflects the same restless, genre-fluid approach that defines her sets and gives her a space to develop and release music entirely on her own terms. Her mix for our InSession series truly encapsulates her sound - unique, forward thinking yet vintage. Being able to harness the new while showcasing originating sounds is a true super power. Through it all she has been a visible and vocal presence for women and racialised women on the electronic scene — something she represents not just in words but through the work itself.

Self-taught since February 2023, Lozz honed her craft during a season at Big White, Canada and throughout her year in the underground & doof scene in Whistler, where she pushed her skills to new heights. With a raw passion for underground music and an ear for deep, driving grooves, Lozz brings an infectious energy to every set.
