Bart Ricardo hails from Bruges and is one of Belgium’s important Chicago house protagonists to have emerged from his country over the last two decades.
Bart instinctively started spinning in the early nineties. His profound passion for house music in combination with his technical skills soon landed him bookings at parties, major clubs and radio shows. His unique mixing talent quickly gained unparalleled support and recognition from iconic house artists. Bart Ricardo notoriously shared many DJ line-ups with the likes of Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Gene Farris, Green Velvet, Roy Davis Jr. …
He’s often invited to perform on international radio shows; add frequent gigs all across Europe, tours in Asia and America, this makes him a respected member of the Chicago house music community.
Bart Ricardo first released a track in 2009 on the American imprint Herbal Essence. His ever-expanding discography contains releases on respected house labels such as Farris Wheel Recordings, Gourmand Music, and Frequency Spectrum. In 2012, he topped the charts of popular online stores with his “Boom Away EP” on Tango Recordings. He has also shown his talents by remixing successful projects of Lil’ Mark, Le Babar, Andrew Emil, Joss Moog. No stranger to collaboration, he shared productions with Chicago based Alinka (Shuteye), Belgium’s Nicolas Kenyon and more recently with French producer JR From Dallas (Gourmand).
In 2013, Bart Ricardo proudly released “House Music All Night Long” as his second EP on Chicago’s Farris Wheel Recordings.
2014 was even more significant when he released the highly appraised “NYC EP” on Chicago’s Whitebeard label. That summer, Derrick Carter played “Spoken Words” in his sets and “Henry’s Philly” featured on Mark Farina’s GLA47 podcast and Roy Davis Jr. Clash Magazine podcast. The release would also earn him an honorable spot in Traxsource’s Jackin Top 200 chart of 2014. His 2014 remixes include JR From Dallas’ Acid Ghetto Street (sold out limited vinyl edition) and Pha5e & Furmits’ Bring The Good Stuff, both for Gourmand Music. A successful appearance at AMWRadio and showcase of Good For You Records during ADE topped off another excellent production year.
From then on the future only gets brighter for Bart Ricardo, having 2015 and 2016 filled with exciting gigs in Europe and several tours in Asia & the USA. While in between travelling, he keeps working on fresh tracks and remixes for labels such as Melodymathics and Marinated.
2017 promises to be even more succesful , with new productions and collaborations coming your way!

Since 2005 Bart also makes it a priority to visit his Chicagoan family and friends each year and it comes as no surprise to catch him behind the decks of Gramaphone Records, Primary, Vertigo Sky Lounge, Smart Bar, Evil Olive, radio stations and neighboring cities.

Funkelastiks is a true Chicago house music globetrotter and originates from Ghent, Belgium (EU), one of the hippest and most creative cities of music on this planet.
He made his debut as a dj in 1986, mixing funk jazz and pop rock records in Ghent's legendary "Coconut Club".  Bands like Queen, Madness, Straycats, Grand Master Flash, and The Police ruled the radio frequencies and clubs owned proper record collections, not deejays.  New genres like Acid-house and New-beat became huge and megadancings like the "Boccaccio" in the outskirts of Ghent attracted thousands of international crowds for this new style of electronic music.  Funkelastiks is part of the first generation of Belgian electronic artists and evidentially shared the turntables with fellow Ghent pals 2Manydj's Dewaele Brothers and the Glimmer Twins. 
In the early nineties, he moved to Ibiza to perform at after-parties during the summer of 1993 and also had several dj stints in the Caribbean in 1994. Funkelastiks would only become synonym to the Chicago house music genre in 2005, when he watched a certain Mr. Derrick Carter perform at a gig in the U.K. That epic night influenced him so much; he decided to be a true protagonist of underground quality house music. 
Since 2008, Funkelastiks promotes house music in south-east Asia and chose the mighty country of Cambodia as a perfect base for new collaborations with local and international artists.  In 2011, Funkelastiks went on to master his "Jacking’ house" sound in Europe and was privileged to grasp excellent production techniques in the studios of the illustrious “Jr From Dallas” (Gourmand Music) and “Bart Ricardo” (Farris Wheel Recordings), which he gladly calls his "mentors".
This collaboration resulted in a first release called "Happy Hippie" on house label "Groovetraxx".  2012 was a significant year for Funkelastiks with a further 3 ep's released on the US imprint "Deep Hype Sounds", including the acclaimed "Funky Head" ep.  He also confirmed his talents as an excellent remix  artist for Juiced Music  for Rob Wu, Reece Johnson.Funk Mediteraneo..
A night with Funkelastiks would best be described as a rollercoaster of house music.  His strength is his adaptability towards any generation of house music lovers.  Pool, beach club, classy restaurant, festival, hyperlounge or dark club, no one and no venue will resist the quality house music of Funkelastiks.  He often loves to be accompanied by a live saxophonist to give the public the required extra spice and his music is a happy cocktail of disco, lounge, tech house, soul, deep house, jackin house added with the original trademark Funkelastiks sauce!
