Session #18 - Techno

Massimo Gagliano aka Maroga is an artist from the south of Germany, who got in touch with music at a young age. With most of his inspiration gained from listening to a wide variety of music and also playing instruments himself, especially playing the drums, the skill set for bringing tracks to life with driving rhythms and grooves, hypnotic and modulated sounds created from scratch is set. Inspired by the mechanical nature of synthesized sounds, the wide variety of timbre and texture found in nature and the physical and psychoacoustic phenomenons, it is a passion to find beauty in unusual tones for his projects. Maroga’s love for dark and melancholic aesthetics is mirrored in his tracks and sets, however there is always room for a good, uplifting and curated groove to add contrast and movement. For Maroga Techno is more than just a genre, it is a big culture that lives from a colorful scene that is always evolving. The interplay between visual art, music and people which create those mediums keeps everything alive that feeds into the creative work of Maroga.

little john always had a big love for music and it has always been a big part of his life. In 2012 he started following the Deep House, Tech House and Techno scenes. They became his favorites with Techno on the top of the list. 

His passion for music only became bigger and in the spring of 2013 he began mixing the music himself. Now he can contribute to his biggest passion himself and transmit it to others.
