Thanks for dropping by and listening to my stuff :-) I wish I did more, like all of us I just don't give myself enough spare time to mess with new ideas. But I do every once in a while and it feels good when inspiration strikes.

I use SoundCloud for the purpose I believe it was created for, sharing self-written, remixed or self-produced material and getting feedback from other budding producers (or hopefully even professionals!) out there. However, I also once did a lot of DJing and have been known to put together the odd mix. The shimmer of a beat the smooth edge of a flowing groove, Dance music that seamlessly emerges from an Electronic belly brimming with Funk, Soul and Depth. Sounds which materialise in mixes by Belfast based DJ Stuart Johnston play-listed over the last 6 months by online Dance Music radio stations such as Frisky Radio and Proton Radio. 

Submerging himself into a world of Beats, Grooves and Rhythms in the early 90's the Belfast DJ frequented clubs such as The Art College Belfast, Kelly's Portrush, and Circus Circus Banbridge, Stuart was greatly influenced by the resident DJ's who played these clubs, David Holmes, Iain McCready, Chris Hurley, Glen Molloy and DJ Jacko. 

His recent sets span the Deep and Melodic side of Electronica and Techier productions by artists such as Tale Of Us, Maya Jane Coles, Solomun, Tigerskin, Maceo Plex & Sasse. He cites DJ's such as Desyn Masiello, Ricky Ryan, Luke Fair, Tom Morgan, Hisham Zahran & Dana Bergquist as contemporary peers. 

Does the world still need DJ's we hear you ask ? Just as a disco ball needs to spin and feet need to hit the floor. It appears so.
