World Canvas is proud to present a debut release ‘Clouded Vision’ by Helsinki-based producer Softie (Ossi Kolehmainen). Over the course of the past years Softie has been recognised by his explosive, percussion-heavy dj-sets and original productions, recently additionally as a part of the conceptual event organising collective Post Human Dance.
On his debut release Softie presents four songs which encapsulate the ideas of desolate and lush soundscapes & precise percussive and layered rhythms. The piece forming from this aesthetic interaction carries a sense of melancholy and shattering beauty. ‘Clouded Vision’ embodies the suspension of Kolehmainen’s previous works' worlds in the fields of explorative ambient and multifaceted dance music, as well as the elegance of these worlds coming together as a whole.

The Fool (Elation V) is an opera co-written by Colin Self and Raul De Nieves, debuted at Issue Project Room on November 11th, 2014. The Fool, is scored in four-acts for chorus and string-ensemble.

Starring Colin Self as the old woman, Raul De Nieves as the Fool and the Dog, Alexandra Drewchin as the Child, and Mehron Abdollmohammadi as the Mother.

Chorus: Lisa Kori Chung, Stephen Wood, Andy Kuncl, Cheno Pinter, Xena Semjonova, Sarah McSherry, Rogielo Ramos, Michael Bunsen, Daniel Wallace, Mz William Fortini, Ana Lieberman and Lindsey Leonard.
