Greeting Orbits first outing is a flawless and surprisingly well elaborated techno record for a debut Ep you might think considering these 3 great produced techno tools, but they are not really new to the scene to be honest! The fact that Greeting Orbit consist of Bobble and Turbogaz who both already released on labels like Traktor, King Kong, GND, Gold Nite or Sex Cult with their solo aliases might explain the outstanding quality level of this release a bit more but there’s more to it as the simple combination of these two names. Greeting Orbit already found their own signature sound in these 3 tracks combining floor functionality with their own twist of atmospheric analogue textures.
On the remix tip we have Turbo Recordings rising star JoeFarr, germanys garage house offspring Mechatok and Dj Schnyder!

On a rainy late September day in the mid eighties, 7 year old Phillip Lauer didn't know what to expect from that little new born G, who was referred to as his brother Jacob. On the other hand, Baby Jacob wasn't very sure of what to make of this - back then still sporty - youngster either, who behaved like his boss. To make a short story long... it took them almost 30 years to finally find out - behind the helm of the infamous Pyramide 2 Studio when conducting this fine piece of home made dance music: the Brudis EP.

Hotel Lauer – QD (Snippet)

We met Phillip Lauer two years ago in the heart of the red-light district in Frankfurt, the Bahnhofsviertel. It was a night to remember. Lauer played alongside Robert Johnson's Ata in a small club called Lido. The last track he put on was the singalong-classic "Die Erde wird der schönste Platz im All" by the Berlin band Mutter. Love, no, truth poured out of the speakers. The next day, the two of us would do the silliest interview the city of Frankfurt had ever heard. Lauer, of course, is the "melody man" known to us as that Tuff City Kid and Arto Mwambe djunglist. He delivered a gorgeous mix for us. And we did another silly interview with him.
