DC Salas — Voces EP [Live At Robert Johnson]

Brussel's beat smith DC SALAS is back on the block - the Robert Johnson block that is! His 3rd release for LIVE AT ROBERT JOHNSON is also his 20th official release so far - so we have two things to celebrate spread over Diego Cortez Salas' powerful four-tracks EP called »Voces«.

Let's start with the title track: »Voces« is a call to alarm right from the beginning with its stabbing synth bass line and sirens. Add a couple of drum breaks and a heavy beat - et voilà: You have the first of four tunes to jump up and down to. Et oui, Salas surely knows how to built tension in a track - even in a voiceless track named »Voces«.

Next up is »The Lights« - and oh boy does Salas turn them on! These are quite trippy lights with a sound that could easily come from a twisted didgeridoo … The beat of »The Lights« is (of course) groovy as f*** - excuse our French. So let's turn on »The Lights«!

B-side opener »Metallic Glow« does just that: The track glows in bright metallic from the first second and features plenty of crazy sounds to do a crazy dance. Did we mention the groove? No? Well … just listen.

For »Safe Pace« Diego pulls out beautiful percussive elements and the 303 thus surfing on a not so safe pace to be honest: The last track of »Voces« is as fast and demanding as all the others.

DC Salas again managed to build four really solid stompers here to set any dancefloor on fire - without using any voice or vocal - these are REALLY SERIOUS SOUNDS you all should listen and dance to. NOW.

Unstoppable @henry-saiz & Band keep releasing a near constant stream of extremely high-quality music and their latest offering is really a joy to behold. Taken from their recently released world-travelling album ´Human´, ´Me Llama Una Voz´ is a song representing Argentina that brings form to something dreamlike. Just like the whole album has the ability to travel around the world, this track does its job and really takes you to those Argentinian Andes it was inspired by getting you exactly where it's going thanks to its tangible emotion, breathy vocals and heady, ethereal production. 
Two outstanding remixes that complete the package are not the ones to miss. First of all, one of them is by @hernancattaneo & @audio-junkies. Second of all, the other one is by @briancid. Don't say we didn't warn you. 
Lovely, enchanting, and shimmering with vulnerability, Hernan Cattaneo & Audio Junkies remix is a pleasurable listening experience that exceeds all expectations. Beautiful and delicate pads, strings and claps lead into a strong rolling beat creating a sublime and emotive reinterpretation of the original. This remix is a deep vibrant blue, undulating and inviting you to get lost in a sonic daydream. 
Custom made for 3 am in a dimly lit club, Brian Cid remix is an eleven-minute long soundscape with a truly delicate and featherlike quality. This rework is held together by an atmospheric tension that makes this song ready for the dancefloor. Thanks to its mesmerizingly expansive synths and gently rumbling bassline it evokes a feeling of serenity and creates the disparate musical underworld. The balance and mystery this remix comprises is simply undeniable. 
Ultimately what you have here is completely transformed remixes that are easy on the ears and technologically transfixing. Vibes on vibes on vibes. Perfect for late night forays into the underground.

For the final single release on Manual Music in the year 2020 we proudly welcome Serhan Guney on board. The producer with Turkish roots isn't the most productive guy out there, but if he does something he truly delivers, and he's got releases on labels like Diynamic, Soulful Techno and BeatFreak Limited to back it up.

Kicking things off with 'Agnes', an incredibly intense and in-your-face melodic dance floor bomb, sick and twisted throughout. A song that, once you've heard it, you'll recognize out of millions of songs. It's truly unique and might just be his biggest track to date.

'Lies' is build around an infectious vocal. A deep yet uplifting late night mover. One to keep you moving during the final hours of the party. Same as with 'Agnes', another pure and unique song by Serhan that will stick with you no matter what.

The imprint has been establishing a solid ground for the new Frankfurt sound since 2009. By featuring internationally acclaimed artists LARJ has been providing DJs and audiences with essential tunes in an extensive range of high-quality house music. Laid-back dance-floor awareness with a sense for particularity in sound is what might describe best most of the releases and artists.
