The São Paulo citizen who's part of the ODD queer warehouse-party collective is a central figure to the city's House and Techno scene, running the »In Their Feelings« and »ODDiscos« labels he has always released his music on other labels as well such as Innervisions, Polari Records or Permanent Vacation.
For »Lucid Dreams« Davis is lit indeed as the opening track »Lit« heavily suggests. »Lit« is sheer energy: A high-speed ode to happiness driven by a marvelous bass line and lots of dreamy vibes.
»Satellite 909« takes us on a trip to slightly darker galaxies, yet it keeps the upbeat and uplifting quality Davis started with. This satellite is transmitting with the typical and beautiful aggressiveness of a TR-909 drum machine - mission accomplished.
Title track »Lucid Dreams« is next: Both versions are characterized by a synth motif which spirals upwards and upwards, certainly driving all dancers crazy for the first half of the track - up until the point when Davis releases us poor dancers and listeners after a short break by building this amazing crescendo followed by commanding claps that lead us back to the floor again. More remixes from the acclaimed "Deeply Rooted" album by Nottingham's finest exponent of reggae and dancehall, Origin One. Picking up where Volume 1 left off, here we find more previously unreleased reworks of tracks from the album that first found support from the likes of David Rodigan, Don Letts, Toddla T, Steve Lamaqc and many more.

Kicking things off is Robot Riddims computerised soca working of "World Peace" featuring Russian reggae don Tenor Youthman. Fellow Notts producers MNTX get to grips with Soom T on "Jah Jah" offering a lighter reflection of Danny T & Tradesman's reworking found on Volume 1. Next, Rukus go deep on "High Grade" with K.O.G. on vocals whilst Congi go even deeper on the instrumental "Dread & Buried" taking the track into unchartered dub depths.

LXNDLXRD flexes his 2 step garage meets grime remix of "Gyal A Wine Up", chopping up XL Mad's vocals, then we find Metalheadz very own Zero T, giving the anthemic "Tribute" his trademark sparse-yet-full production stamp. More drum & bass comes with Born On Road's Kelvin 373 and Selecta J-Man going heavy on the classic "High Grade" again, finishing off with T-Kay's lively rerub of Gardna & Nanci Correia's "Nice & Easy".

Berghain residents Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann link back to Ostgut Ton’s label launch in 2006 with their first studio collaboration in ten years and the extended Phantom Studies, on occasion of the one hundredth O-TON 12“ EP release.

With Phantom Studies Dettmann | Klock channel their first joined releases Dawning (2006) and Scenario (2007) from over a decade ago with their first co-production in ten years. On this extended, 40-minute 2x12" EP Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock parlay their deep personal alliance and musical repertoire through emphasis on new functional Techno as much as hypnotic, melodic and soulful music by thinking outside the box. The seven new, original tracks reflect these attributions by communicating to the needs and expectations of both DJs and home audio listeners, but not neglecting one over the other.
