Geoff Kirkwood aka MAN POWER is a busy man. He's over a decade in the biz and after releasing EPs on Nocturne, Echocentric and his own label Me Me Me, he is currently on a run with new music coming out on Make A Dance and Rekids - and of course this: His debut on Live At Robert Johnson.

»Mail Order Karma« features Glasgow-based musician and songwriter Elisabeth Elektra handling the vocal duties. Elektra, who has collaborated with Ben Power (Fuck Buttons, Blanck Mass), John Fryer (This Mortal Coil), Jonny Scott (CHVRCHES) and Neil Comber (MIA, Aurora), has supported acts such as The Human League and is a member of Scottish non binary and female songwriter collaborative Hen Hoose. And she sure can sing. Her heavenly voice gives this hypnotic synthetic nu disco banger this little extra something thus allowing you to enjoy heaven on earth indeed as Elektra sings in the refrain. For all of you who can't get enough of these beats or simply want to extend the joys that this tune brings upon any dancefloor, we've included the instrumental version as well.

To round off things here, Geoff's other offering »Cargo Cult« can be seen as the yin to his »Mail Order Karma« yang. It's definitely more moody and dark but does not lack the hypnotic quality Geoff so easily creates with his music. »Cargo Cult« is highly energetic and will definitely be of great use to cause havoc in the club at any given time, rest assured.

A quarter into the century, Swedish producer-DJ-song writer Johan Blende has found his passion for making music again. With a record out last year on Sweden label Studio Barnhus, forthcoming releases on some of Europe’s leading electronic music record labels and more material in the bag than ever before, 2025 is oﬀ to a bright start. During the 2010s he was enjoying success releasing records mainly on Belgian disco label Eskimo Recordings collaborating with singers Mattie Safer, Gustaph, Kelli-Leigh,

Mickael Karkousse & Rebecca Scheja, along with remixing a variety of acts such as Lana Del Rey, Ms Dynamite & DJ Fresh, Korn, Skrillex, Goose and Klaxons, producing for bands like Fenech Soler & Le Galaxie and playing records in nightclubs across Europe, the US and Asia. To follow, a long overdue break was needed in order to explore things

outside music further and to try and get his inspiration back, a break which is now coming to an end.

Born in Stockholm he currently resides in warmer climates down south in Athens, Greece. The long love for all things disco is still there to be heard but the new material is also expanding on his more eclectic & electronic music roots whilst also slowly getting back into his first love in music craftsmanship that dates back all the way to the mid ‘90s

- DJ-ing.

SOULMEEX sixth label release is finally here, delivering a luminous burst of dancefloor energy with The Velvet Dust EP by Faroese-Copenhagen artist Brynjolfur. Infused with Balearic dream house aesthetics, it unfolds as a three-track euphoric journey. Deeply cinematic yet built for the club.

The EP features Skyline Groove, Solstice Serenade, and Golden Circle, each offering a different facet of Brynjolfur distinctive sound. To complete the package, Portuguese-Italian producer Vhyce delivers a striking remix of Skyline Groove, adding his own personal touch.

The visual identity of the release is completed with artwork by Icelandic photographer Valtýr Daregard, adding an atmospheric layer to the record.

Michael Mayer became obsessed with Erik Luebs, an American producer based in Osaka, after stumbling upon his independently released music on Bandcamp. Luebs’ talent for creating high-energy, minimalist acid techno with impeccable, futuristic sound design swiftly earned him a regular place in Mayer’s sets. It was only a matter of time before Luebs made his debut on Kompakt’s Speicher series with this highly versatile EP. ‘Riding the Blade’ opens the four-track EP, showcasing Luebs’ signature punchy psychedelia. ‘Scarlet Viscera’ features a sleek, minimal groove that is reminiscent of the genre’s heyday in the 2000s. ‘Transform Into Glass’ emanates blissful Detroit vibes, and the EP closes with a real bang: ‘Sucked Through Tube’ creates a frenzy on the dance floor without the need for a single kick drum. I had such a great time playing for Disco Bizarre at KitKat Club; honestly one of the most fun nights I’ve had in ages, spinning so many of my favorite disco records. 

I don’t usually do this, but since quite a few people asked about a recording of my set, and since there wasn’t one from that night, I decided to recreate it using my flashdrive history. Same tunes, same energy: captured as live as possible on my home setup to keep that original vibe alive.

I uploaded the first 90 minutes minutes of my six-hour set at Giselle Düsseldorf. It was the first gig after my collarbone surgery and was unsure how djing would feel. But the doubts were unfounded and I am grateful to had this great start after my break. 

I started with some Dub Track and tried to build up the vibe gently.

The imprint has been establishing a solid ground for the new Frankfurt sound since 2009. By featuring internationally acclaimed artists LARJ has been providing DJs and audiences with essential tunes in an extensive range of high-quality house music. Laid-back dance-floor awareness with a sense for particularity in sound is what might describe best most of the releases and artists.
