When I met Camille I immediately fell in love with her voice. I knew I had to use her voice somehow. It was always in the back of my head. Then, a friend challenged me to finish a track in one month. This was the perfect opportunity for me to try something interesting and just have fun. It was in July, but because I wasn’t in the right headspace to make music, I couldn’t complete the challenge in time. Two weeks ago I finally found the strength to work on my music again. This first track marks the beginning of a new era for me.

Quand j'ai rencontré Camille, je suis immédiatement tombé amoureux de sa voix. Je savais que devais utiliser sa voix d'une façon ou d'une autre. Ça restait toujours dans un coin de ma tête. Puis, une amie m'a lancé le défi de terminer une chanson en un mois. C'était l'opportunité parfaite pour moi de tenter quelque chose d'intéressant et juste m'amuser. C'était en Juillet, mais parce que je n'était pas dans le bon état d'esprit pour faire de la musique, je n'ai pas pu compléter le défi à temps. Il y a deux semaines, j'ai enfin trouvé la force de travailler à nouveau sur ma musique. Cette chanson marque le début d'une nouvelle ère pour moi.

On the 24th of December, my laptop was stolen. The night before I had safely saved a new track I was working on. I’ve decided to share this unfinished and rough track with you. It feels weird and challenging to share a song under these circumstances, but it also helps me be better at letting go and accepting that art doesn’t have to be perfect. 

The artwork is also something I made around the same time, and which is now forever lost.

Le 24 Décembre, mon ordi portable a été volé. Le veille au soir, j'avais sauvé en sûreté une nouvelle chanson sur laquelle je bossais. J'ai décidé de partager ce brouillon, pas finalisé, avec vous. Ça fait bizarre de partager une chanson dans ces circonstances , mais ça m'aide aussi à être meilleur quand il s'agit de lâcher prise et accepter que l'art ne doit pas être parfait.

L'image de la couverture est aussi quelque chose que j'ai fait durant la même période et qui est maintenant à jamais perdu.
