All Tomorrow's Parties  is an organisation based in London that has been promoting festivals, concerts and records throughout the world for ten years. It was founded by Barry Hogan in 1999 in preparation for the first All Tomorrow's Parties festival, the line-up of which was curated by Mogwai and took place in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands. Since then the festival has appeared every year, and continues to set itself apart from festivals like Reading or Glastonbury by staying intimate, non-corporate and fan-friendly. Another vital difference is that the line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists, resulting in unpredictable and exciting events which combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The All Tomorrow's Parties festival has become more successful with every passing year, moving in 2006 to a larger holiday camp. It has taken place in the UK, USA and Australia

ATP Recordings is a record label started in 2001 by London concert promoter Barry Hogan, who heads the All Tomorrow's Parties organisation, which has been promoting its world renowned festivals and concerts since 2000. The label was originally created to bring out a compilation CD featuring artists from the line-up of a Tortoise curated All Tomorrow's Parties event. As well as further compilations released to coincide with their festivals, the label soon expanded, signing bands and releasing their records: sometimes for the European market where their records had no distribution, but also on a worldwide basis with artists old and new.

The label has notably released the first album by the reunited Magic Band, and also acclaimed albums from Bardo Pond, Deerhoof and Australia's The Drones. The label develops new home-grown talent such as Alexander Tucker and Fuck Buttons, and has also worked to release records by such varied luminaries as Apse, Autolux, Spiritualized, Built To Spill, Sleepy Sun, Death Vessel, Fursaxa, Jackie-O Motherfucker, The Scientists, Threnody Ensemble and White Out (with Jim O'Rourke). 2015 saw BBC 6 Music radio presenter Mary Anne Hobbs stage an Erased Tapes evening featuring Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the prestigious BBC Prom. It was the fastest selling ticket of the entire season. Shortly after Erased Tapes was awarded Best Small Label 2015 at the AIM Awards.

On February 5th 2017 Erased Tapes opened the doors to its new East London home, marking the 10th anniversary by introducing fans and the public to the new Erased Tapes Sound Gallery.

Max Richter trained in composition and piano at Edinburgh University, at the Royal Academy of Music, and with Luciano Berio in Florence.

On completing his studies, Max co-founded the iconoclastic classical ensemble Piano Circus, where he stayed for ten years, commissioning and performing works by Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe and Steve Reich.

In the late 90s he worked with a number of electronic artists, notably Future Sound of London on their album 'Dead Cities". He subsequently collaborated with FSOL over a period of two years, also contributing to the albums "The Isness" and "The Peppermint Tree and Seeds of Superconsciousness". Max also collaborated with Mercury Prize winner Roni Size, on "In the Mode".

In June 2002, Max released his debut solo album, "memoryhouse", recorded with The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. This was followed in March 2004 by FatCat's release of "The Blue Notebooks", with featured readings by Tilda Swinton.

In 2005 Max produced Vashti Bunyan's outstanding comeback album "Lookaftering".

2006 saw the release of "Songs From Before" based on Haruki Murakami texts read by Robert Wyatt. That same year, Max began performing "from The Art of Mirrors", an evolving score to previously unseen Super 8mm films of Derek Jarman.

Max's more recent work continues to stretch the notions of what Classical music is.  ‘24 Postcards In Full Colour’, released in August 2008, is an experimental work made up of 24 composed ringtones.

Max works widely in film music, installation and the theatre, most recently on INFRA, made with Wayne MacGregor and Julian Opie for The Royal Ballet, London. The Ballet was the subject of a BBC 'making of' documentary.

Max was named 2008 European Composer Of The Year for his score to Ari Folman's Waltz With Bashir, for which he was also nominated for the Prix France Musique.

Through a strange twist of backstage conversations surrounding passport cache conundrums, and love of Italian gastronomy, a curious friendship began that now has brought forth an offspring of truly curative compositions for the world to savour.

The band are currently touring their highly acclaimed, self-titled debut album and will soon be premiering their dance score- produced for crtically acclaimed cheoreogrpaher Wayne McGregor's new dance piece 'Atomos'.

Five years later, Al Joshua has suddenly re-emerged with a huge amount of astonishing new songs that people are finding profound, funny and deeply moving.
His new songs now delivered with a more intimate voice have the ability to mesmerise and haunt the listener whilst offering the occasional flashes of insight into where Al has been for the last five years.

One clue about his whereabouts is the forthcoming feature film he wrote called , “Set the Thames on Fire”, described as a dark, surreal, satirical comedy about two boys trying to survive and find hope whilst falling through the cogs of a nightmarish fantasy London of night times, dawns and dusk,like one of his coming to life and is being released in 2015.

I visited Al in his tiny little box room in the middle of London.  Surrounded by pictures of art and faces, postcards of faraway places. A coffee machine was gurgling in the back ground notebooks left open on the piano, a tattooed boy sleeping apparently untroubled by my intrusion. Al played me a handful of the most subtle, the most exquisite and the most moving original songs I can remember hearing, I got the sense of a profoundly exciting new solo artist who is more than ready to step back into the spotlight.
