Vik Newman and the world would never know what was about to hit them. Growing up in a middle class home with the love of his family you would think that it would have been easy; but it wasn't. He began to rebel at an very early age and found himself escaping through his words. Anyone who has struggled in their life can relate to his passion along with his heartfelt but very straight to the point lyrics. He began to think that way after a tragic accidental shooting which tramatized him; and forced a young man to grow up very rapidly. While listening to hip hop greats such as N.W.A , 2-Pac , and countless others Vik Newman after years of being lost had finally found his calling (music). He had instantly found himself hooked on hip hop and a year later he was a performer. His first c.d Epitaph ( which means an inscription on a tombstone for memory of those who have passed on ) hit the streets like a buzzsaw; helping him sell a modest 9000 units underground. Second he dropped Epitaph 2 which sold 10,000 units in it's on right. In the summer of 2004 all the hardwork payed off and he started opening up for major artist such as B.G. , Trillville and countless others in the tri-state area. 2005 Vik Newman had decided to drop a mixtape titled Day of Reckoning which featured the hit single " I'm from da L " and " Anything you want " as a prelude to his new album "Hour of Glory" before he planned on joining the miltary. As of recently he has dropped numerous other projects Newman No Pen No Pad , Newman This Ain't For Everybody, Chris2.4 Get Right With God
