Distrito 91 presents the first installment os its Various Artists compilation series; "Our Own Algorithm" VOL.1

Side A begins with "Transfer Your Energy" an acid trip of classic electro with 808 drums and dreamy synth pads signed by Sound Synthesis. The master Dark Vektor follows with "Mil Imperios Mil Destinos" an epic track with fat basslines, cutting arpeggios and other-wordly vocals. 

The B-side start with "Detox" by Madrid-based producer TR_9009, a real electro-techno psycho track. Finally the record ends with UHF's "Unstable Isolation" a greasy and aggressive EBM-oriented track.

Atix - Electro-Activity-37 (2023.06.10)

Berlin-based artist Werner Soyeaux under his stage name Bläck Dävil is a core part of the Berlin collective Ick Mach Welle. Schnäll Schnäll is his debut solo artist EP on Killekill, with own productions accompanied by collaborations with Bettina and DJ Normal 4, alongside remixes by Rhyw and Gesloten Cirkel. The EP opens with the dark intro Alptraum, which Gesloten Cirkel transforms into an ill-tempered acid-electro monster. The title track Schnäll Schnäll provides a stark contrast to these, with bright overtones existing alongside deeply rooted sonic bedrock. Rhyw adds a level of abstraction and futurism with his remix of this track, whilst retaining the dub-influenced vibe of the original. Following on from this Geldschere is collaboration with Düsseldorf artist DJ Normal 4, with Bläck Dävil contributing his own lyrics and voice, to create a track that could be fittingly described as “Acid Punk Rock”! The final track on the release is a cheeky ode to the Ick Mach Welle family. Here the Dävil's passion for Hardtekk, Gabber and similar rough styles of music become clear.

PREMIERE: Bläck Dävil - Geldschere (w:  DJ Normal 4) [KILLEKILL]

Known for his hardware-harnessing live shows and acidic jams, the Bristol-based Miles Otto’s ‘Skitter’ EP is alive with propulsive electro rhythms and dreamy synth melodies. ‘CV Swizzly’  grabs your attention with its wistful analogue tones and percussive crunch, before a burbling bassline burrows through the arrangement, while the 303-laced ‘Vectron’ takes cues from Detroit electro with its menacing riffs and eerie synth drifts. ‘Skitter’ itself subtly reveals its details layer by layer, with crisp drum machine hits and low tones opening out into mystic harmonies, and Plant43 recasts ‘CV Swizzly’ in his distinct image, adding metallic synth bass and urgent keys to finish the EP in fine style.

VIERNULVIER RECORDS drops "Quadric Surfaces," the latest LP by Hieroglyphic Being (Jamal R Moss) next month - a soundtrack for the abstract animation film "Parallel Spheres" and "Figures in Mynd" by visual artist Gabriela González Rondon. Premiered at the Videodroom/Film Festival Gent in October 2023, the film's surreal visuals found harmony with Hieroglyphic Being's psychonautic soundscapes which showcased an immersive blend of off-world frequencies and raw primal sounds.

Reptoid Radio 034 has landed courtesy of Hamburg's finest @eddie_the_eagle. Resident DJ over at @aos-radio, Eddie's been laying down breaks and hardgroove across Hamburg for some time. You can catch him live soon at his gig at Hafenklang Hamburg on 12.4.24!!!

As for the mix, unlike his namesake this mix soars high but lands firmly on two feet, with Eddie guiding us across the planes of electro, ghetto and breaks, not afraid to chop up tracks and get into the weeds of a good long blend. This one's sure to get you moving and keep you firmly interested 'til the end.

Reptoid Radio 35 has landed courtesy of Mimsyy (@mcmimsyy). Based out of Hanover, Mimsyy's been gigging around the Northern Germany area for a little while since he picked up the decks and the 16GB Sandisk USB back in 2020. 

Mimsyy's interests lie in combining music related to hiphop and techno culture, whilst also mixing them alongside groove and breakbeat elements.
