From Moses, from the prophets’ page
Jesus raised in Nazareth
Joseph’s son, so it was said
Nathanael answered openly
No caution in what he said
“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”
He lifted up his head

No argument, no reply
Just a step toward meeting him

There is wonder when he speaks
Curiosity moves my feet
Questions fall into the truth
When I stand before the man of Galilee
Come and see
Come and see

Jesus saw him drawing near
Spoke before a word was formed
A true son of Israel
Open face, no double form
“How do you know the man I am?”
The question came out free
“Before the call, under the fig tree
I saw you plainly”

Sight that reaches past the ground
Words that know without a sound

There is wonder when he speaks
Curiosity turns belief
Every doubt gives way to truth
When I stand before the man of Galilee
Come and see
Come and see

You believe by what you heard
You will see far greater things
Heaven opened, order clear
Angels rise and angels sing
All between the throne and earth
Moves upon the Son God sent

Awe replaces former thoughts
Earnest faith now speaks in me
Rabbi, Son of God and King
I bow before the man of Galilee
