About the song 
Since the beginning of time, the wind has always been there, a beautiful and dangerous power of nature, totally unpredictable, one that man has harnessed to power their sails and lately to generate electricity. I know the wind fairly well being a windsurfer and fair weather sailor. I know how beautiful and dangerous the wind can be. I have great respect for the wind and the Sea and always will have and this song is a tribute to her.  

I would like to thank Finn Eces,  my friend and co-writer of this song. Finn and I have been quite a number of songs under our belts now and I think it must be nearly time for the 1st Album Finn. 
Finn’s voice and production skills have really taken “ The wind “ to a new level,  fine tuning of the lyrics, adding in of that driving bass and funky guitar as well as those beautiful harmony vocals really set this song up to be a real Summer hit in all the beach bars around the world ( If Only )

Composition – The Eclectic Collective

 This song began with a bass part that Jeff came up with and shared with Stephen, who had added some fiery guitar and foundational rhythm guitar to it. However, it languished on his digital shelf for many months as two parts, until he recently remembered that he had it. So, he decided to share it with the rest of the group. We were salivating, all of us, when we heard Jeff's bass line, so we began with Ken laying in the groovy drums and the tight, driving percussion, which propels the entire song. Once we had a beat, we decided to edit the part to include the break you hear about a minute into it. Mark took on that task, and deftly added the bass in that section, too. 
  Josh was up next, and decided to add a rhythm guitar inspired by Talking Heads. Once he had done that, he started hearing a simple, catchy melody in the main verse part, too, so he came up with some simple lyrics and recorded the vocals for that. At the same time this was happening, Ken also came up with some lyrics and a vocal melody for the breakdown part, which he added. After Ken had added his vocals, Josh added a harmony part on them. He also added the lap slide melody you hear in that section, as well. 
  JJ was next up to bat, laying in the breathtaking organ throughout. He also backdropped a canvas of synthesizer throughout and put in some electric piano too. Tez came along not long after and added the ripping guitar solo in the jam section. Once everyone had added their parts, it was up to Stephen to produce, mix, and master it. He arranged and added some length to it, then mixed it in his usual expert manner.
  This is the first song the Eclectic Collective has done with Jeff, though Stephen has worked with him in the past, and we were all fans of his music, and thus very excited for the chance to make music with him. Hopefully, this will be the first of many.
  We all hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it. If you comment, please share, too.

Hello everyone, 
we're staying in 6/8 time. I'm glad to present you a song that was created in collaboration with Mike Fox and Charlie. With Mike I met someone here at Soundcloud who is not only an excellent musician, but also a friendly and humorous person. Our humor is the same. During our collaborations we exchanged emails that regularly had us rolling on the floor laughing. 
Thank you, Mike, you have become a good friend to me.

I had a nostalgic day today. As I was just messing with my DAW did I also need to write down some fitting words to my "random plonks". I was first not going to open it but my friend known as SolarRae convinced me others.

Here are the words in writing:

There’s something about looking back about glancing over your shoulder at the road already traveled. It’s like tracing the edges of a dream, 
halfforgotten but still vivid in the way it made you feel. Time becomes less a straight line and more a circle, a loop where everything you were, everything you created, still lives, breathing just beneath the surface.

It’s strange how the past can feel more alive than the present sometimes. The spontaneity, the spark of an idea, the way the world used to stretch out in front of you limitless, unbroken. Back then, there were no barriers. No walls. Just endless possibilities, like the universe itself was unfolding just for you. It’s as if time itself wasn’t something to be measured, but something to be played with. You didn’t chase it; you danced with it.

Those moments they never leave you. They echo, like stardust still drifting through the cosmos. You were part of that great expanse once, untethered, where joy wasn’t something you sought, but something you radiated. You didn’t need permission to be free; you simply were.

And in that freedom, there was creation. There was no need to justify or explain what you did. You just did. Life was a blank canvas, waiting for whatever burst of color you felt like throwing at it. It wasn’t about making sense it was about being. The act of living itself was an art form, unfiltered, spontaneous, raw.

The beauty of it all is that those moments aren’t lost. They aren’t confined to some distant corner of your mind, gathering dust. No they are still there, woven into the fabric of who you are. They pulse beneath the surface, ready to be rediscovered at any time. All you have to do is close your eyes, take a breath, and there it is like light from a faraway star, still shining even after all this time.

Maybe that’s what nostalgia really is. Not a longing for the past, but a reminder that the energy, the creativity, the joy it’s all still within you. It never really leaves. It’s waiting, always, like a heartbeat, quietly reminding you that you’ve been free before, and you can be free again.
