Lucas Marx is a electro-pop artist raised in Chicago, now living in Los Angeles. He learned at a very young age to play guitar and bass, while later on becoming a self-taught pianist. He began producing his own tracks when he moved out to LA in 2011, and supported himself by playing weekly cover gigs all around the city. Currently working on his first EP set to be released this March, Lucas is, unconventionally, writing, producing, performing and even mixing for himself.

Legend has it, while in a hut in the Paris region Phil Fernandez united his guitars with few friends , all the while repeating a repertoire of English and American blues. Thanks to this union, the BIG DEZ group was born in 1996. The family grew quickly with the arrival of Lamine Guerfi on bass, Marc Schaeller on harmonica, Stéphane Miñana on drums and Rodolphe Dumont on guitar.

After scouring bars in the Paris region for a few years, the call of the Sea sends them to the United States, where they seize the opportunity to befriend artists from Austin, Chicago, and St. Louis.

The muses take hold of Phil Fernandez, and the group composes their first album, Sail On Blues, recording it in Austin, Texas. The year was 2003.

The album Night after Night would soon follow in 2004 while still in Austin, as well as, You Can Smile in Jamestown, Mo 2007.

In February 2009 Big Dez is selected by Blues on Seine to represent France in the INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE in Memphis, Tennessee.

That same year, appearing on European Live, in an anthology of various European concerts, and before the sweetness of Angers, Big Dez is inspired for the two following albums : Lazy Star in 2010 and Wet Paint in 2012.

More than twenty years after its creation, Big Dez, now made up of Phil Fernandez on guitar and vocals, Cyrille Catois on bass, Rodolphe Dumont on guitar, Steve Belmonte on drums and Marc Schaeller on harmonica, is preparing a seventh album scheduled for a summer 2017 release, and they continue to attend European and American festivals with just as much energy.

Big Dez’s style is electric blues ; mixing humor and melancholy, strongly tinged with funk, soul, and rock'n roll.
