Already playing our events and an integral part of our family he first featured one of his productions on last Summer's sampler. Finally his own solo release sees the beautiful light of day. Each track perfectly crafts an atmosphere. Each a story unto itself. YokoO enlists friend and multi talented artist Retza to add an extra layer of emotion to his already complex musical compositions. The result? A three track EP to not only send you soaring in to space at certain moments but also, at he same, time have you explore organic musical jungles, oceans and deserts of our world and others yet discovered. After a 9 month hiatus, Diynamic Music returns with the 12th edition of its famed “Four To The Floor” EPs. The label’s very own various artist series, which is always comprised of four dancefloor-oriented tracks that have one special quality in common: they have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs all over the world. 

Opening the record is “Monster” by Matthew Dear, his personal ode to the kickdrum. His eldritch voice almost turns into a haunting spiritual ceremony by singing eerie chants and entrancing phrases.

One half of iconic British duo Basement Jaxx Felix Buxton and vocalist Gia make their Defected debut with the soul-stirring ‘So Hooked On Your Lovin’, alongside two groove-loaded remixes by Mousse T.. The first ever release under their Selace pseudonym, the record comes laden with lingering organ chords and stunningly raw vocals, echoing the stripped back quality of Switch’s ‘I Still Love You’ and with a similar deep-reaching feel to Massive Attack’s early 90s classic ‘Unfinished Sympathy’. Production maestro Mousse T. works his magic with his funk-drenched Disco Shizzle mix loaded with a pumping bassline and guitar riffs alongside a deeper Dubby Shizzle version laced with a spoken word hook. Less is more with Selace; this is a minimalist yet undeniably stunning record that lets its captivating song do all the work.

This bird with the exclusive naming is a slow-mo funk monster in fine Solomun style and right here for the start of the summer season 2012. The first 500 copies are coming with a full size etching of his Watergate compilation artwork on the b-side!
