ETCH steps up to helm the next episode of the "LMD Locked On" podcast series. A three hour mix built around musical influences from the Brighton based beat scientist.

Few words about the mix by ETCH:

"I guess with a lot of studio mixes and even live i'm known for being eclectic and jumping tempos back and forth quite fast - this mix being long form allowed me to progress things a lot more in a story-telling style manner which is exactly how each track on the record plays out - I also play a lot of old house tracks because despite not being an up front influence on the record as a whole they were actually largely what I was listening to while I was writing the record, I think those particular tracks catch a timeless groove that can move seamlessly through the other genres that are in the mix and within the record, much like how people say it all started with the blues, I feel with modern electronic music it started with those house records, particularly the ones that caught a peculiar groove; I actually had a list of 300 tracks i wanted to fit into the mix and I was fully going to try and do 32 bars, 32 bars, 32 bars, 32 bars etc... but I decided to take it slow"

Jean Patrice Remillard aka Pheek steps up for the next episode of the Lick My Deck Locked On podcast series titled "Emerge".

Pheek is one of the very first artists to release on LMD with his fantastic Supra Opto Cassis EP. Thomas Melchior chose one of the tracks of that EP (Blue Blue So Electric Blue) to be on his acclaimed 10 years"s of Circoloco at DC10 mix CD.

Pheek has been making experimental electronic music for many years and has built a reputation not just as a exceptional producer but as a talented mastering engineer who mastered Ion Ludwig's stunning album Free K. Loudwiggle.

This 2 hour composition titled "Emerge" was recorded Live in Copenhagen. It's a journey through: lush sounds, twisted melodies & unconformed Pheek grooves.

2017 marks 10 years of LMD and we are very excited to welcome one of Chicago's finest and one of electronic music's most singular visionary artists to the family: Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being! Having recently dropped a exceptional album for Ninja Tune and a stunning 12" for Rush Hour, Jamal now teams up with "The Truth Theory Trio" to deliver the "Materialized Psychism Of The Bottomless Void" EP.

"Long Night Of Iboga" opens the EP and sees Jamal & The Trio create a floor jacking cut with unpredictable drum patterns, abstract melodies and psychedelic horns. A killer weapon for any seasoned selector. 

"Mystery Of The Changelings" is a mesmerizing 11 minute odyssey through magical harps, melancholic synths, and a piano riff that will stay with you long after listening.

Truly music for the mind, body & soul. Praise be to The Sun God!

Our first ever collaboration EP “Echoes Of Paradise” by Shaun Soomro & Mikael Stavöstrand get’s Reworked.

Legendary cult producer Josh Brent reworks “Street Code Symphony” in classic Schatrax esque style turning it into a beautiful timeless cut. It recalls his best works as Schatrax -  sparse, jacking, lush and dreamy with a sense of mystery created by a master crafts man who set the blueprint for this sound. 

Shaun Soomro’s re-vision of Paradise Lost takes things in a completely different direction also, but in heavyweight Dub mode. Drawing it’s groove from a mesmerising sub bass, Shaun layers and recomposes from the first Violin recording session & plays in new string segments that blossom and develop the more you listen, creating a epic symphonic dub masterpiece. One for the late night Warrior’s!

Both artists turn out exceptional reworks primed for those special dance floor moments.
